Nov 19th 2009 7:15PM Although Haste is one of those stats people think about. It's not one that is typically considered a primary stat when deciding gear.
The idea for Haste is to stack enough of it so that your Steady Shot cooldown equals 1.5 secs (the same as the GCD), appx 523 Hast Rating.
After that you really won't be thinking of Haste as much as you will Agility or Crit.
Nov 19th 2009 7:02PM Good question alpha5099:
It has to do with how and what type of damage you get with your attacks.
Since ArPen only works on physical damage and Marks hunters do more straight physical damage it really benefits them more.
Also, ArPen doesen't transfer to your pet. So you wouldn't see any benefit for BM.
As for Survival, there might be some point that it would make sense, but I couldn't really see it happening. Mostly because Survival is a spec that relies more on proc damage from their Explosive Shots than pure physical attacks.
Hope this helps answer your question.
Nov 19th 2009 6:52PM Thanks Dawg for catching that. I've fixed it and gave you and Valutina props for helping to cach the ratio reversals.
Nov 19th 2009 6:50PM Thanks Valutina for catching that. Seems I got bit twice by the same typo. It's now been corrected.
Nov 12th 2009 6:55PM Andrew - You're correct in that many hunters will have grouped up to do quests or even instances along the way.
On the flip side, there are a lot of hunters that decide to level and quest by themselves. (as with other classes, but in my experience hunters tend to solo more often.) For these players it's important that they learn some of the things we now take for granted. Things like turning off Growl, turning on Cower (well at least until maybe 3.3), making sure your pet is on Defensive, things like that.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep it in mind for future posts.
Nov 12th 2009 6:45PM Heya Dreyja,
Thanks for pointing out my inability to say Silithid. But I'll take the gold star.
Yes, we all get Kill Shot. I had another train of thought that came up and must have written it in with this post. It's corrected now.
To answer your question about "Gotta catch them all." I'm in favor of it. Other than database or application performance issues, I honestly don't see why you can't tame every type of pet in the game.
As for the stable slots? (not sure if that's what you meant or not.) Why have them? Why not just make tamed pets behave like mounts and vanity pets. Make "Stables" just another tab and we can just continuously add pets there. But that's another story. ;)
I look forward to your email and thanks for reading and listening.
Nov 12th 2009 6:38PM Wait? I said what? Are you sure? Of course BM have Kill Shot. I wouldn't ever say that come on! I must have been under some Mind Control spell or something.
Okay, okay.. I give up. Yes, I admit it. I had left a note about Kill Shot not applying to BM hunters. Not really sure where that train of thought came from, but it's been fixed now.
Thanks Gnosh and everyone else for pointing out the error.
And to just to make sure no one misunderstands or remains confused. All Hunters get Kill Shot. All Hunters should have it at the top of their shot priority. When it's active use it.
Nov 10th 2009 1:44PM As a fan: Whootastic!! Welcome aboard Kelly! :)
As a dwarf hunter: Oh crap, not the dreaded Tauren Rogue Bryon? He'll Thunderstomp you and stunlock you before you can /cast Feign Death :P
Truly a great job and I'm hooked and can't wait for more. Keep on rocking Kelly!
Nov 6th 2009 12:12AM Don't feel bad at all. When someone posts solid feed back like this it's always appreciated.
Sometimes links get crossed during the process of linking in everything. So thanks.
I greatly appreciate it.
Nov 5th 2009 9:28PM LOL! I'm guessing your talking about the pictures.
I sent out a call for help over twitter and my good friend Lissan aof Restokin responded right away.
The best part had to be her response to my thank you.
"Okay! You're welcome! I love being a hunter pet, lol." - Lissanaa
See we need more druids like her! :D
