Jan 28th 2010 5:13PM I approve of this.
Whatcha doing Saturday?
Jan 28th 2010 3:03AM Derongar here. Ta for the advice!
I actually quit WoW a couple of days ago >.< Sorry...
Maybe I should reconsider... I wouldn't want something so awesome as having my character on Wow.com to go to waste.
Jan 11th 2010 12:42AM Aww... I really liked Spidey 3. Venom was awesome.
Jan 6th 2010 6:09PM Kick them?
Jan 6th 2010 5:47PM The Rune of Blood mechanic isn't so much important because he gains Blood Power, but more because he gains a ridiculous amount of HP (10x his damage I think) from each hit on a Rune of Blood'd tank.
Jan 2nd 2010 9:57PM I wasn't aware "Racism", "Whine" and "Generally act like an angst-filled, pubescent teenager" were staples of the Warrior rotation.
Jan 2nd 2010 8:03PM I'm with Sleut, and tyler, I think you're looking at this the wrong way.
Raiding is similar to sport in that it requires teamwork; all members of the team have to commit to the fights (at the same time) for them to work. Much like a rugby team would be f***ed if half their back line decided to go have a smoke or a chat halfway through a play, a raid gets pwned if a tank, healer or (though not so certainly) a dps stops paying attention or goes AFK during a fight.
That's the analogy, and there are a million others; plenty of things require teamwork and commitment. While raiding MAY require less commitment, particularly if you raid casually, the fact that you're engaging in a group activity, with an objective that requires concentration from ALL involved, means that going AFK for no good reason, unannounced, in the middle of the boss fight, is terrible manners and highly inconsiderate. Again, by analogy, if the fullback's child was choking on the sidelines, I'm sure neither team would scold him for attending to that child, and the same is true of raiding.
By saying "LOL HARDCOREZ GET A LYF", you're ignoring that there are real people with real feelings at the end of every WoW 'toon. This is (more or less) exactly what trolls, flamers and most other inconsiderate WoW stereotypes do; they can show people the less... classy... sides of themselves without embarrassment or shame, because they don't have to face the people they're trolling. D'you really want to be like them, guys? Really?
Dec 29th 2009 6:35AM Charging out of falling damage is my favourite pastime.
I ran Nexus the other day, and used it to charge across an otherwise impassable gap just after Anomalous, into some mobs. 3 out of my 4 other party members promptly fell to their deaths trying to follow the tank.
Lols were had.
Dec 25th 2009 8:32AM I sent my girlfriend a Leaping Hatchling, because she adores pets. I then had to beg in Orgrimmar for someone to cut my Skyflare Diamond because I had no money XD
I also bought myself an Argent Hippogryph with the Seals I've been saving for at least a month now, and a Faceplate of Thunderous Rampage (best item name in the game IMO) which I've been farming for for ages.
Oh, and someone sold me a ridiculously cut-price Titansteel Bar in the spirit of Christmas, which was nice too.
All in all, a great Winter's Veil!
Dec 22nd 2009 9:45AM Lorthemar for head of the Ashen Verdict!
He'd reprioritise the gnome budget.. Unfortunately, we'd be waiting a year to get inside, due to the massive amount of paperwork that'd need to be done.
