Sep 25th 2010 1:18PM But there are Malkovians in Requiem. :) They're a Ventrue bloodline.
Sep 25th 2010 1:14PM Make that two votes for Tremere! Hopefully they'll at least have the seven classic Camarilla clans (before the Gangrel went all independent).
Sep 25th 2010 10:31AM Or maybe vampire fans who are tired of being associated with Twilight?
Sep 10th 2010 6:30PM I wish they'd talk more about the selection of weapons in the game, since they've made weapons a core component. Many (most?) superheroes don't use weapons. Sure, we can all think of examples of those who do — Batman, Hawkgirl, etc. — but what about your typical energy blaster, mentalist, or mystic. They mentioned at FanFaire that Brawling is a weapon type, so hopefully there are other non-weapon options. I can't imagine someone like Raven from the Titans beating baddies up with a weapon, or with her fists for that matter.
Sep 9th 2010 11:15PM Ah, that makes sense. Make it a skill and set a nominal fee so it remains Cata-exclusive.
Sep 9th 2010 9:49PM Yeah, the link to the Gamespot interview is in the article above. I've already read that. That's about a hands-on media demo for Gamespot, not closed beta testing. I know they've been taking beta applications for a while now, but as far as I know, no one has actually gotten in yet, other than friends and family alpha people. I did find a thread elsewhere about it — looks like as of yesterday, there was still no news about the closed beta, and no one reporting they've received an invitation. Bummer.
Sep 9th 2010 9:15PM Does anyone know if they've actually started beta yet? I haven't heard anything about beta starting, yet the game releases in less than 8 weeks. There's really no time left to do anything substantial with feedback. Seems pretty worrisome, but I guess we'll see.
Aug 28th 2010 5:41PM And they haven't started beta yet, have they? They've been taking beta signups for a while, but I haven't heard anything about beta actually starting.
Aug 23rd 2010 2:30PM Seems like GW2 has some of the same design goals as SWTOR, what with the emphasis on personal story, voiceover content, etc, but it sounds like GW2 is taking it one step further with dynamic events and such. SWTOR will get lots of subs because, well, it's Star Wars and it's Bioware. It'll be a great game, no doubt. But right now GW2 looks like the more exciting and innovative game to me. Plus: fantastic graphics, F2P, and the way they're mixing up the traditional combat roles — yeah, it should be a very competitive title indeed.
Aug 18th 2010 9:53PM Huh. Everybody I know is actually more excited about this one than either of the previous two. Takes all kinds, I guess.
