Oct 5th 2011 11:38PM I have to say I'm surprised by the article. When I read the comments, i saw lot of folks like myself that are unhappy with the mechanics put in place in 4.0. What was once a fun class to play is now boring, with too much down time with nothing useful to do and relying on procs. I'm all for making the class more interesting, but Holy Power is just boring and feels like they didn't spend enough time thinking about how to fully utilize it.

Apr 4th 2011 3:26PM I didn't mean to suggest that the market was completely inelastic to the point you suggest, just relatively inelastic compared to other markets. If an average glyph price is 60g, there is little impact on demand if it increases to 70g or drops to 50g. If it drops too far than people will enter the market and buy up the low priced items for resale closer to the market price. But until you drop down to where that extra demand kicks in, the typical glyph buyer is pretty much just going to pay the going price for the glyph they want. Going from 120g to 60g isn't going to drive a huge incease in demand. Whoever needs a glyph, needs a glyph, so demand is relatively inelastic until the point it drops to where opportunistic buyers can come in. Given the number of glyphs and the uncertainties of new entrants, that is usually a pretty low price point.

Apr 4th 2011 10:53AM I definitely agree with basil's thought process here, but I think he's missing a key component in the lower price sells more glyphs thought process. The demand for glyphs is pretty inelastic. If you post lower and are the lowest price on more glyphs, you'll sell more, but just lowering the price on the same number of glyphs us going to have little impact on demand. People come the AH for glyphs they want And very few will say "I will buy 'x' glyph for 50g, but no higher.". As long as the price looks reasonable, they'll just buy it at whatever price because they want the glyph and aren't going to wait for it to come down in price a few days later. Dropping a glyph wall at 60g when the going rate on glyphs is 120g is going to sell glyphs because they're the lowest price, buy I'd bet he would sell the same number of glyphs at 115g and make a lot more gold.

Apr 2nd 2011 9:41PM Can you refer ne to any resources on tanking why leveling? I've been DPS player for years and when I've tried to tank with a dual spec at end game it didn't go all that well. So decided I'd role a tank from scratch and level him exclusively as a tnk in instances. Most of the reference materials, even the 101 articles here, seem geared to a fully leveled character. Is there anything geared towards a new, leveling tank?

Jan 22nd 2011 1:02AM I've been playing WOW since back in Vanilla and finally rolled a druid for the first time when I saw the Troll Bat flight form. One thing is odd though. The flight form travels the same speed as the flight mounts, but the land form is only 40% compared to 60%/100%. It does come four levels earlier, but I don't see every using it after level 20. Is there a reason it doesn't match the mount speeds like the flight forms do?

Jan 19th 2010 12:33AM I've been running the Dungeons as DPS since the LFD tool came out. After reading your article, I thought it might be a good idea to give tanking a try; if nothing else to cut down on the wait for dungeons. I read through the suggested gearing recs and put together a starter set to run regular dungeons. It did not go as planned. Other players decked out in their T9 & 10 gear were downright hostile at my blue iLevel 200 & 187 gear. I didn't even try heriocs, just regular dungeons, but it didn't seem to matter. After reading the articles here, it seems like these dungeons were designed to be run with this type of blue gear, but no body seems to have the patience for that now. I'm going to try again after looting some off spec gear on my DPS runs, but definitely was a discouraging start.
