Apr 4th 2012 6:12PM ...I was hoping the guy that needed to beta test the lava would be back...
Mar 31st 2012 6:23PM "You are not your character."
This should be in 72pt neon blinking glitter text...not only on this article, but as a prompt before logging in for some people. The headaches that this has caused me over the years....my god. On a site I used to RP on...there are people that STILL confuse the actions of my character, who was a very scary woman, to my actions. Four years later, I'm still told by people that they're leery of approaching me because of my character's reputation.
It's easy to get emotionally invested in your character. You spend so much time developing them and seeing the world through their eyes and creating these adventures and experiences for them....but there's lines you shouldn't cross. Always remember where your character ends and where you begin.
Unfortunately...all three listed problems are something I'm dealing with with my current GM. He's a lovely guy most of the time but I dread RPing with him. He's extremely controlling...and he has about 5 characters that are all....him. With different accents. The characters are NEVER wrong, always pulling things out of their ass in order to control a conversation/situation to be "right." ...And I've been scolded several times OOCly because my character greatly dislikes one of his and doesn't hide it very well at all.
Mar 31st 2012 4:09AM I'm actually super curious as to their intents to let so many people onto so few servers. It seems a stress test, of sorts. Maybe trying to see how much population their servers can feasibly take?
Is this maybe a solution they're have for underpopulated realms smooshing a whooooole bunch of them together?
Mar 29th 2012 3:08PM I think I'm more scared about the thought that Anduin is likely on a boat filled with Draenei. Now..I love the spacegoats. I do. But considering their rather storied history with piloting various vessels... x.x
Mar 29th 2012 12:36PM The draenei model will just needs to be brought up to the level of detail the others are going to get, and perhaps a bit more articulation and facial expression (and for my shaman not to grin like a creepy madwoman when fistweapons are equipped.) They don't need a major overhaul, just a new coat of polish. (because unfortunately, they WILL look really dated once the other races get their brush-ups.)
Mar 29th 2012 12:26PM Red....skin? No. No Eredar. Bad. baaaaad.
Mar 29th 2012 3:29AM @Kyle - Oh, I definitely agree. I'd love to see them have that minimalist, with just a flash of crystal aesthetic that most Draenei architecture / themed things seem to have. Give them a really good pottery / stone feeling and texture. Elegant, deliberately sculpted, simple. :)
Mar 29th 2012 1:48AM Speaking as another spacegoat, I wish they'd be brought up to the same level of polish the new ones have. ;)
Mar 29th 2012 1:27AM Wow, the tauren and spacegoat totems are crying somewhere in a corner!
Mar 26th 2012 5:15PM New spiders? NEW SPIDERS!
...now...wtb some of those lava spiderling models from the Molten Front.
