Oct 27th 2011 2:50AM I'm really happy with Monks! ^^
I don't care about the class but they use agility-based Fist Weapons, and with the absence of auto-attacks I could argue that they will be slow (2.60+), so MORE WEAPONS FOR MY ENHANCEMENT SHAMAN! :D Yeaaah!!
Jun 20th 2011 3:22AM @ razion:
No. Tauren and Draenei can never be Rogues.
Can't stealth with hooves.
May 27th 2011 3:18AM "Guarded By The Light no longer interacts with Holy Shield in any way.
Holy Shield has been redesigned. This talent is now an activated ability off the global cooldown. It grants 20% increased block amount to a paladin's shield blocks for 10 seconds, with a 30-second cooldown."
I like Holy Shield by procs. Now, beside threat, what's the point on using Shield of the Righteous? SotR was great principally for the HS proc. Now is just a high burst threat ability.
I'm not saying this is a nerf or anything else, is just that now SotR is losing his coolness! :S
Beside that, the new HS is so much... Warrior-ish. I don't like it.
Anyway, I can get rid off Guarded By The Light entirely now. :) No point on having it if you're not WoG-specced, and I will never be. No point to spend HoPo on WoG anymore, to be honest: I can also replace my WoG button with my HS button now.
May 22nd 2011 2:41AM I love playing with my Prot/Holy Pally, my Combat/Sub Rogue, my adorable Shadow/Holy Priest and my little (LV20+) Prot/Fury Warrior and Resto/Ehn Shammy. Those are the classes I like.
It's just about playstile: I don't like pet management (so no Lock, no Hunter), I don't have fun with a DK, I totally hate Druids. Maybe one day I can give Mages a shoot or two.
Dec 2nd 2010 7:29AM I don't get it, really.
Why Vengeance can't simply increase the tank's threat instead of giving him Attack Power?
Problem solved! O_o
Nov 24th 2010 6:47PM Wait a moment. Just a moment.
That shirt... In the picture...
... Reminds me... Gankutsuou in some ways... O_o
Nov 20th 2010 10:47AM My RL friends are WoW players, also. So I play with them in their houses. I sometimes bring my PC (but I will buy a laptop ASAP) or a little USB pen with my Addon and WTF folder inside.
Beside that, I consider my RL friend equal to my WoW friends, and I have rights and duties with both of them. If my RL friends invite me to watch a movie, I'll go and don't raid. If I sign up for the raid and later a RL friend call me to hang out, I simply say that I can't go with him because tonight I'll raid. Is just a matter of respect for the others, and for the duties I have taken.
Obviously, WoW is still a game, so if a very important RL thing or a family matter comes up, /logout.
Nov 12th 2010 12:51PM @ cyclopsfar: you have a really good point.
IMHO tanking in PvP can be done, but not in the way Protection Paladins actually do (just to mention an example...). But, as someone stated before, is really hard to balance.
I think that PvP tanks should be able to deal with very large amount of damage and to bring some utility to the group, rather than damage or healing: CC, silences, slow, reduced damage, shield an ally (I mean things like Intervene). They will be our flag carriers, our assaulter in Arathi Basin, the guardian angels of our DPS and healers, and so on... But not our broken overpowered BG/Arena heroes that bring unstoppable death and destruction. A PvP tank should NOT be able to easy killing someone: I'm ok if a tank need to be attacked with three DPS for him to fall to the ground, but when I, DPS, are in front of a tank, 1vs1, there is pratically no way he can kill me, because his role is not to kill people but to support his group. And, maybe, I can't kill him alone because... Damn, is a tank!
Should be all around collaboration between roles, just like endgame istances are normally done: tank distract, manage enemies, protect and bring some utility, DPS do the dirty job killing the enemies and healers keep everyone at full health. Everyone needs the support of the others to be able to achieve something.
Nov 12th 2010 7:22AM The problem isn't Vengeance.
Is that is ridicuolous that in a PvP environment exist a "tank".
A tank make a sense in a purely PvE world, where there are mobs that doesn't have the intelligence of a human player and follow a scripted program, so a tank can force them to attack him and protect the party.
This cannot be applied in a PvP world, where there are PLAYERS (a.k.a. "human beings") that can decide what to do on their own. A tank can't force them to attack him, so he lose the meaning of his role. You can't have a "tank" in PvP, 'cause enemies simply IGNORE HIM and proceed in killing bigger sources of trouble (DPSes and healers).
I don't know how kind of drugs are circulating inside the Blizzard's offices, but the idea of having a viable tank spec in PvP is just retarded: you need to kill the other players or heal your allies, tasks that not fits the role of a tank at all. You will end up with one of the two:
- A toon with immense ammount of health and mitigations that can't kill anything, with utility and threat equal to zero;
- A toon with immense ammount of health and mitigations that actually can match the damage of a pure DPS spec, resulting in the most overpowered thing that even walked into a BG or Arena.
Please, for the sake of God: leave. Tanks. Out. Of. PvP. Period.
(To all who things "dude, with my Prot War I'm the hero of WSG 'cause no one can kill me while holding the flag"... Yes, it's true: but the "capture-the-flag" mode is just A WAY to doing PvP, and that doesn't reflect the whole world of PvP).
Jul 16th 2009 11:41PM I'm not a Warrior (my main is a Shadow Priest, my alt a Combat Rogue), but I have a friend that is and I really feel the pain in his eyes.
Like someone pointed out before, it's ridiculous that a class with two specs viable for DPS can't do decent damage.
I don't want to say that DPS Warriors need to be in top of DPS charts, doing the same amount of damage as a Rogue. An hybrid class viable for DPS should do the same average amount of damage as the other hybrid classes, or less damage in exchange of some sort of utility.
And, for tanking: no matter how much buffs you put on the Protection tree, it will always be overshadowed by other tanks, Paladins expecially, who had been gifted with extremely injustificated amount of buffs after Wrath hits.
For my gaming experience, I think that in this moment Priests (Shadow-specced only, Discipline is ok and I don't have tried Holy so I don't know) and Warriors are the only classes that are really underpowered. And Blizzard fails to notice it.
I'm going a little off-topic, just to say: Blizzard, please, nerf those damned Paladins.
They're insane: they can spec for every role, wear Plate armors, heal themself, heal others better than a Priest, tank better than a Warrior, do high DPS and burst damage, bring buffs and utilities. They are OP. Period.
And, if it is not so much disturb, please, PLEASE give Replenishment back to Shadow Priests only: I want to be the mana battery of my raid again.
