Breakfast Topic: The best and worst classes for gold {WoW}

Nov 9th 2010 7:42PM Before Wrath, my gear was good enough to solo chest-farm Mana Tombs, and I did that often. Greens were common, and the enchanting materials they produced lined my pockets with gold. Sometimes BoE blues dropped. They weren't usually worth much, especially compared to all of the enchanting materials, but the occasional rare gem was an easy 50+g. No more chests to farm. :\

For awhile at the beginning of Wrath, I used a Sub spec for farming with my Rogue, with the Pickpocket glyph. I would make a complete trip around Onslaught Harbor in Icecrown. By the time I had made that trip around the island (I had a path and system), a good percentage of the the mob pockets had "respawned", so I could keep going, stopping only to fly up to the ledge to vendor garbage. Runic Healing Potions were common, so that was a little money. The money could have been better, but I was very lucky; a little more than a month after Wrath came out, I was doing this pickpocketing run and one of my lockboxes contained "The Dusk Blade". Rather than do the obvious thing for a Rogue in mostly quest blues and greens and equip it, I decided to sell it. Someone must have been desperate, because I sold it for enough to buy some of the best BoE blues, and enchant them, including two Librarian's Paper Cutters with Berserking - a huge upgrade for an Assassination spec'd Rogue at the time (which was what I decided to raid with). Though my Expertise could have used a little more work, my hit rating was ready for Naxx without setting foot in a Heroic.

I know the point of this was not supposed to be about the AH, but the "lucky pickpocket" and what followed could not have been made possible without the Rogue class skill.

I wish that chest farming had never gone away, or that there was something equivalent and fun.

Steelseries announces Cataclysm MMO gaming mouse {WoW}

Oct 16th 2010 10:24PM I was lucky enough to get a Microsoft Sidewinder mouse for 75% off because it was "open box" and had no price or markings on it. The thing was brand new, looked like it was in a sealed package that was a portion of a larger package, and I got (what was) an $80 mouse for $20.
I like the look and potential of this new SteelSeries mouse, but I'm not even using the full potential of my current multi-button "gaming mouse" as-is.

Breakfast Topic: What enemy would you turn traitor to join? {WoW}

Sep 9th 2010 6:44PM Not really a faction, but I always like Nielas (Shade of) Aran.
Gul'dan was a badass, too.

Teen runs away to meet older WoW soulmate [Updated] {WoW}

Jan 6th 2010 5:26AM Maybe we defy the stereotype a bit, but I'll tell you, you get strange looks from people when you tell them that you met your wife online. Maybe technology has become more mainstream, as meeting online has become more accepted in the past 5 years, but it still seems like people have always discounted long-distance relationships, especially where the computer is involved.
It has now been over 8 years, and we have been together with rarely an argument. We have interesting conversations and enjoy some of the same hobbies while also enjoying our own time and interests. Over this time she is still built like a cute little Blood Elf, and I am in the "normal" range BMI-wise.

The Twelve Days of Winter Veil: Day one - Steelseries gear {WoW}

Jan 3rd 2010 2:12PM That is some very nice gear! I can understand why these threads get so many replies!
