Dec 15th 2009 7:31AM Just a quick overview of what my guild learnt on 2nd boss in 25man, hope it is of help
3 tanks - 1 left right and at back as already stated with assigned healers
Melee split 1/2 left and right killing casters only and interupting, once their side is clear check back for a caster, if all casters are dead dps boss till new adds
we kept DK dps on boss at all times after issues with dk's 1shotting themselves on the casters and not being able to pull much dps on the melee mobs (assume same issues for enhance shams with a spell / melee dps rotation)
Use blood lust early say after 1st wave of adds you likely get 20 secs of dps on boss if your quick
Dont try and tank the altered adds, kite, have a hunter pull them off tanks if needed
Avoid the death and decay as fast as possible
CC people MC'd asap (this happens in phase 1 which we were not expecting)
Start of 2nd phase make sure your dps dont get excited and move to boss with out finishing off adds, but move 1-2 interupters to boss to stop frost bolt
2nd phase avoid the blue ghosts (including the tank) at all costs they hit had, cant tank taunt or cc
2nd phase interupts on the boss is a priority
We got boss to 20% in 2nd phase on about our 4th try last night before the enrage, our first 2 attempts were pretty poor getting boss to ~50% mana shield left, make sure your dps focus fire the adds down, especially the melee interupting the heals asap.
Definately harder than 10 man, but I am hoping we will pull thorugh tonight,
Dec 15th 2009 7:18AM In addition to the awesome LFG tool I must also say the new 5mans are great, we did 10 man ICC this week too and the gunship battle fight was brilliant, though some of the boss abilities are familiar they are still challenging. Agreed, best patch ever

How about instead of having a unique raid ID, your saved ID correlates to your current progress within the instance, killing the first boss in naxx 25 giving N251 for example, getting 4 bosses down in Ulduar 10 giving U104. This would allow you to still regroup with the same people or those saved at a similar position within the instance if the LFG tool can indentify people saved to a similar point in the instance, or allow people to choose to get saved to a certain position.
The problem I see is with what I believe is the current mechanic for mob drops, are the boss drops not pre determined as soon as the instance ID is formed and not a random roll created upon killing the boss?
And could this lead to people only wanting to join raid ID's at a certain boss, missing others to go for only 1 drop (not that it cannot currently happen)

Sep 1st 2009 7:25AM People have been mentioning that leveling in BG's nets no gold, however this is to the contrary as 10,000 honour can buy you an epic gem which you can sell for 150g (uncut) to 250g+ cut. An AV win can net you around 1-2k honour, every 10-15mins, thats around 200g an hour. Couple that with low repair bills, you can save up a load of gold for boe epics at 80 and you will have a bunch of epic gems for them too
