Oct 20th 2009 11:17AM Confirmed again. I received the Squashling in a Treat bag and a friend received the Helm the same way. Is it me or does the squashling resemble The Grand Pumpkin from Simpson "Treehouse of Horror"?
I also had 2 of the morphs before the event even started. I recall a few months back being zapped into a skeleton and wondering Wth happened? and who attacked me.
Best thing about this is the easy peasy xp-eezy.. at lvl 68 on my Nelf Druid, I got about 120K just from EK and Kalimdor candy buckets and have yet to do Outlands. That helped me ding and took a few bars out already towards 70. On my 63, now 64 Troll Hunter, it was double xp (altho only 5250-5400 per bucket) but the flying explore was 1200 or so each area, which also helped ding. Gotta love it!
Love the game! Just wish Blizz would stop nerfing so much stuff. Makes myself (and I"m sure players who have been at it way longer) just frustrated how easily you can level and get achievements, drops and run instances.
Jul 7th 2009 10:43AM if they can make the worgen and yeti skinnable as humanoids, why not murlocs? man, I hate those things!. granted you can make murloc scale armor from the drops (altho a very low drop rate for thick murloc scales, in the time I tried to collect them for bracers, I've obtained way better) there are inconsistencies but whatever. the game is still fun as hell and despite all the bely-aching, people still play. kills me to see these folks who say they don't play anymore but seem to contribute to the forum about changes?
WoW is still an awesome game. better than any home systems (PS, Wii, etc) cuz with this game, there is no end-game.. sure, you hit 80 but then you can continue on. Unlike say Resident Evil, you kill the end mob and you're done. WoW constantly evolves (and from looks of it, folks either love/hate those changes) and it just adds to the game experience for me.
Jul 7th 2009 10:32AM I can't understand all the fuss.. if someone hates their faction so much but you enjoy playing the game, just roll a new toon on the other faction, maybe even different realm as well. or if you hate your current toon, roll another, mail all the non-Soulbound gear, mats, money or whatever other banked stuff you have, to that toon and start "fresh".. I have a few toons. 3 Alliance, 2 Horde. my main is a 61 NE Druid, have a 40 Gnome Warlock and 60 DK. then a 42 Troll Hunter and a 17 Tauren Warrior. I enjoy playing them all, because of their different levels the quests arent' quite the same, especially the race/class specific ones.
Jul 7th 2009 10:23AM THAT would be awesome!!
while on the 'subject' of faction friendly, why not be able to talk to an opposing faction? at least whisper? I've had times where I've been getting a beat down and an orc will come in and stomp it real quick to help me out and vice versa, but no way to really "thank' that person and can only really acknowledge by "emoting". (unless I just haven't figured out how to chat with them yet?"))
Jul 7th 2009 10:10AM I know this will probably open me up to some hazing, but I have to ask. Maybe it's my noobness showing (only been at it 5 mos) but what would profs have to do with gaining mounts? other than making the Mekgineer Chopper, how else could a prof gain a mount for a toon?
as for an the faction change, it did not "a roughly equivalent character on opposing faction".. I'm thinking Belf to Night Elf, Orc to Dwarf? troll to human? and undead to.. well, maybe human? not sure about Tauren.. . gnome? haha I guess someone will find out, but I'm pretty certain if they do, cuz it will most likely be a pay service that the toon would have their option. Granted they did they're research to see what racial abilities etc may be comparable and any gear may be lost that doesnt conform with new toon.
In closing, I think it's funny how folks blast Blizzard for all the "stupid" change (not my words) yet, they still continue to play?
