Nov 8th 2009 1:43AM I dunno about content in WotLK, but at least in BC... I used to be able to sit in my Holy pally spec (with Holy PvP gear)... and both Tank *AND* Heal in instances...
...Or else, switch to Prot spec (for those hard instances) and wear the same PvP holy gear, and out DPS one or two of the DPSers...
Like I said, I don't know how we look currently, but at least from an end lvl BC perspective... we might be considered pretty well Hybridized...

I think the fundamental difference in thought process here is that you believe that when you 'help' another person, it entitles you to a reward.
Other people believe that helping another doesn't automatically entitle you to get something.
For example: If I go over to my friend's house to help him move his couch, I do not feel that he needs to give me a free gift for doing it. I'm doing it because he's my friend.
Likewise, if I go to Nax to help out my guildmate, I do not expect a reward. I am there because I want to help/enjoy the instance.
I personally have never rolled on a piece of gear that wasn't an upgrade for me, without express permission by the raid leader and/or the majority of the group. If even one person says no, I won't roll.
Oct 7th 2009 6:11PM DoT classes rock the meters? Please tell me you feign ignorance! Rare it is when I hear of an Aff. Lock or SPriest get anywhere *NEAR* the top of the meter
Oct 7th 2009 5:32PM Your comment, while seeming facetious, does bring up a point. Many melee DPS stack Haste to a large extent. If Blizzard decided to make this effect of Haste universal, it would greatly affect a rogue's Poisons and bleeds, as well as a DK's diseases. Additionaly it would most likely affect Deep Wounds (and the analogous Ignite) vastly increasing their efficent damage potential.
I think that this is very likey to be one of the reasons that Blizzard has decided to go with glyphs instead of playing around with a universal change. It allows them to boost a specific class or spec, without affecting the classes they they believe are already where they need to be.
Oct 2nd 2009 4:41AM If you don't belive this is a 'bug fix' ... ask rogues about the vanish 'bug fix' that has been the "tacitly accepted behavior of the spell" since god knows how long.
Oct 1st 2009 1:13AM I know what you mean!
A long, long time ago... I was killing Centaur in Desolace... on a PvP server.
I happened to run into a Tauren doing the exact same thing. We both stood there for a moment, waiting for the other to attack... nothing happened... till a mob respawned right on top of him. Needless to say, we were both a little under lvl... so I decided to help him.
After the fight he bowed and waved... then after deciding he wasn't going to eat my face... I turned and started fighting my own centaur... He charged in and helped...
We continued doing this for something like an hour, perfectly alternating kills with no communication. Finally he waved /bye and we parted ways. As long as I remember this game, that story will always stick out to me.

I couldn't stop myself from giggling madly every single time I got a whirlwind crit with a big 2-hander lvling up. Highly recommended!

Aug 10th 2009 3:37PM As a hunter IRL... I'm pretty sure if I was tasked to skin a human... I could.
Heck, what do you think Scalping is?
