Why is Blizzard still OK with gender inequality in World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 4:39PM K Adam I did - good thing I'm a good skim-reader bc opinion remains the same!

And what is with all these men thinking they know how it feels to be a woman in a game?!

They don't bc they are men?!

Apr 3rd 2012 4:35PM The panda isn't doing anything creepy - he gives a compliment to each gender, then says they will be good friends. I don't read his friend comment as being tied to the compliment he gives each gender.

This whole article is a rant on skimpy armor (put a shirt under it or transmog to something else if you don't like it) and Ji's comments, which are just being taken the wrong way.

I only read like half of this. It seems like massive QQ about nothing. I have played girl characters, as a girl, for years and never experienced any sexist attitude toward me on vent or in the game from other players, basically EVER.

Women should be empowered by their beauty. Men should be empowered by their strength. Does this mean that women aren't strong or men aren't beautiful? NO, obviously not.

This is just an unbelievably dumb article dude, sorry. I guess as a guy playing a girl character you're just out of your element. A strong, confident woman isn't intimidated by a man's acknowledgment of her beauty, or by games that glorify the female form.

Apr 3rd 2012 9:25AM I actually have the most fun leveling new little BOA toons through PvP. The PvP is simple and pure and you don't have to worry about complex objectives.

Start you a little BOA toon and just play the hell out of WSG until you feel confident enough to try AB and then move up from there. You would probably enjoy it!

Apr 3rd 2012 9:20AM Yeah I especially hate those ppl who complain when the team is actually doing well. Sometimes you face against a team that is just better geared, has more healers, or whatever, but your team is genuinely playing well and trying hard, but you're always going to have that guy that tries to bring everyone down.

When I see someone doing this I try to speak positively to the team. Experienced players aren't going to let that crap get to them, but I don't want it bringing down a new optimistic player who is doing well.

Apr 3rd 2012 9:17AM Yeah, it is more fun playing with ppl. My husband and I play together. We are both great players and communicate and team well to accomplish objectives. Together we are unstoppable! It is great fun and gives us a lot to talk about.

Apr 3rd 2012 9:14AM "However, good druids and rogues can easily stop druid FCs."

Meant to say:

However, good HUNTERS and rogues can easily stop druid FCs.

Apr 3rd 2012 9:12AM It is true that low level PvP is largely dominated by hunters and rogues and that druids are the best flag runners. However, good druids and rogues can easily stop druid FCs. From there, it just depends on whether your rogues and hunters are doing what they are supposed to be doing and getting the flag or if the druid FC is good enough at getting away and running smartly.

Apr 3rd 2012 9:07AM I love pvp and I am awesome at it ;)

There is nothing like beating another player. I like the smallest BGs best, as I like being able to see the difference I make directly. I also really enjoy utilizing all the tools in my kit - it is what I am working to improve currently and I can truly see a difference.
