First off man, im not flaming you. I am currently only lvl 67 but i have been prot since 2.0 and ive tanked every instance up to now, i havent done CoT yet but i will this weekend. I have never had a complaint, i usually get compliments and statements like "wow nice tanking"
Now before going further understand that the pally is an easy class to play but a hard class to play good. It takes a great deal of multi tasking.
Last weekend we were in mana tombs, we got to the part with all the void walkers, mage sheeps a v/w pulling them and a pat (i know) i use righteous defense on the mage, pull 3. jump back and throw my shield at the rest of them. now i have aggro. i start building up my threat with holy dmg when i realize i am almost dead and i have about 5 of those v/w's on me and my priest just went oom! i bubble loosing aggro throw the priest BoP and a good heal, heal myself up. luckilly the rest of the group is still doing good, they killed 2 of them in this time. i start casting avengers shield, when the bubble drops my shield lets fly, i gain back aggro, the end.
Mar 20th 2007 5:06PM Well first off, pally's tank with holy damage
...lets let that simmer a bit......
if im a pally tank and i have all str stam attack pwr and such gear, im going to be able to take a lot of damage but i will not hold aggro
If i have stam int and +dmg/heal im going to be able to hold aggro like nobodys buisness but im not going to last long. i take hits hard and run priest oom quick.
Druids on the other hand, hold aggro just like a warrior. not on nature damage. Here is the deal. They should give pally tank gear +holy dmg ONLY. if it is +dmg/heal that would be unfair.
as it is right now i have to go with option #2, I figure if a tank cant hold aggro whats the point, as a pally tank if stuff doesnt hit me im doing horrible dps and cant use any abilities, may as well spec holy or ret. fortunately my best friend plays a priest, he curses my mitigation but loves the CC.
Mar 19th 2007 4:08PM The strangest one that I had to give was "brb think my son drank some lysol!" which indeed he had, my wife had to call poison controll and everything. We didnt have to brush his teeth for a week. Other than that its either "brb potty time" or "brb sippy cup"
Feb 20th 2007 4:04PM Yea #37 I have the same question. I did hear about playing WoW on an I pod a few days ago. How does that work, I know it has the memory for it and the graphics to support it, but what about keyboard and mouse application? P.S. doing this at work :)
Jan 30th 2007 3:20PM Does anyone know if the Jugement clones are all purple or maybe in other colors too? And lol at #4, just a heads up 4, horde has pallys now.
Dec 8th 2006 12:44PM I went a year without addons, the first one I got was rselfcast. I then started getting a bunch of others, AH, Titan Panel, Atlas etc. To tell the truth, the only one I miss the most is rightclickselfcast. The new UI allows this in a way, but I havent gotten the hang of it yet and I really dont like it so far. The other addons were nice but rsc was the only one that makes it hard to do without. I always said I didnt need addons till I got rsc.
Also, as far as decursive goes, its gone by by. Blizz said they would not allow it anymore.
Nov 6th 2006 1:35PM Well, I have never played much horde, not past lvl 20 anyway. I have played Aliance since launch. I am 25, have a corporate management job, a marriage, mortgage, and a 2yr old son. I play as often as I can. My friend played horde first, has a 60 shammy. Eversince he has been playing with me on aliance he still talkes bad about them, especially in BGs. Sure I have encountered a lot of stupidity, the worst is in BGs when I happen to be the raid leader and start giving orders, I always get atleast one or two players giving me that, "your not the boss of me!" attitude. It is very frustrating, when no one will get together and do what needs to be done and you have the horde comming at you (together) dominating. I agree with #5 that it really just boils down to numbers, however there is a lot of other good arguments. But its not just kids that are the problem. I know 2 young guys that are around 14 that have 60 aliance characters, we group with them a lot and they are pretty cool. I know a lot of older people that I will not group with because either they suck or their pricks. So I think its really a matter of people, not nesesarily kids.
Nov 3rd 2006 9:58AM Oh yea, also an undead costume wand that you can use on all horde characters and then, be able to use undead spells on them. The wand has infinate charges.
