The Horde didn't get a free pass from the Wrathgate because it wasn't orchestrated by the Horde. If you've actually done the Battle of the Undercity event afterwards you'd know that members of the Royal Apothecary Society had sided with Varimathras in a demon-originated plot to sow chaos into the Forsaken, the Horde and their relations with the Alliance. They orchestrated a coup, nearly killed Sylvanas and took control of the Undercity. It obviously worked as Varian immediately declared war on the Horde for something that wasn't sanctioned by the leaders of the Horde. If you'll remember, we lost plenty of warriors in that fight too, including Saurfang, someone Thrall considered as a replacement for him as Warchief.
Sep 10th 2010 5:27PM I don't normally comment a lot because in the long run it tends to not usually make a dent in the trolls. I for one am really glad that this service has been implemented, despite its shortcomings. It's motivated me to write and to submit an article for a previous call, which is something I haven't tried to do in years.
So to agree and add my two cents it would be amazing if Seed was more rounded and allowed more input, I imagine that their payment system and tax purposes hold them back in a lot of ways, but I hate the idea that's being put out that because a system isn't perfect it's suddenly a bad thing. Think of all the great articles and breakfast topics we've been able to read and the fact that we are actually able to participate. Focus on the good and things will improve. Hack at the leaves and nothing gets done.
Aug 17th 2010 10:54AM Excellent article Anne, I have quite a few friends who used to play WoW who are complaining about how the new race/class combos are "ruining the game" and "taking it too far from the original." To know that Blizzard is putting so much time and effort into having a valid Lore explanation for each one, especially one as awesome as this, is amazing.
Aug 9th 2010 9:24AM Anyone else wishing that holy power could be made into a part of the portrait instead of one of twenty buffs that you'll have up there during a raid? I don't know, something like the runes of our undead counterparts.
Guess I'll trust the UI addon makers to help me out with this if blizzard leaves it the way it is.
Aside from that, I'm excited about the new system, seems like it could add a good amount of fun once they get it ironed out.
Jul 28th 2009 4:34PM I started watching SYTYCD halfway through last season and thought it was amazing, this is the first season I've watched regularly from the beginning and voted, and I've been rooting for Evan since his audition show. I knew there was something awesome about him, not only is he a good dancer, from the Midwest(from Kansas City here), but he plays a Mage! Too bad about Alliance, but I can forgive that.
What all the critics need to remember is that this is a competition to find America's -Favorite- dancer. They have to be good and well liked because of their personality, and Evan definitely has both.
Good luck this week Evan!
Jul 20th 2009 9:55AM I agree, more Christian Belt! We want him on the WoW Insider show too, especially if his vocal wit is anywhere near as good as his written.
Jul 6th 2009 2:47PM I just checked the Podcast listings from my iPod touch and it's listed on there now, though it wasn't when I started listening directly from the article here.
Great show once again guys. I love that I finally have a reason to look forward to going to work on Mondays.
Jun 19th 2009 4:11PM Ding ding ding! Which goes to show that the way they are calculating Blink is bugged. You just told me that Charge works because it's programmed a certain way and blink is programmed a different way, proving my point that Blink is bugged. So they need to find a way for Blink to use targeted coordinates based on where you are and which direction you are facing and then making you reappear where those coordinates calculate. Then combine it with actual wall collision detection and not just change in elevation detection. They obviously have a way of telling the difference or you wouldn't be able to walk up the ramps.
And thank you Andy for just stating your reasoning rather than name calling, which really accomplishes nothing.
Jun 19th 2009 2:33PM People say that the problem lies in terrain instead of blink. Why then does the warrior charge work just fine, if it's just another 'movement spell?' If Blink really falls into the same category, which GC claims, then it should already work despite the terrain because all of the other movement spells do. But it doesn't, so Blink must be bugged. It's not difficult logic to follow
