Jul 4th 2009 2:50PM I rode a subway for the first time to a fireworks show for Canada Day - this is my first time living in a city. Sooo many people there, more than I've ever seen, and probably more than the population of my home town.
Anyway, best firework there you didn't see going up - it suddenly popped open into this gigantic, regular ol' firework. It was incredible though because it went so high up it was right above our heads and not in front of us anymore. Then after the pretty colors, you'd hear the loudest BOOM of your damn life. They only let off two of these fireworks, but damn, they were my all-time favorite.
I actually felt my teeth chattering from that boom. My buddy said he felt his jeans rattle from it. Epic. Jean-rattling fireworks.
Jul 3rd 2009 10:59PM I've been thinking of going Destruction just to get the hang of it, since I plan on it being my raid spec. But I haven't been fearing at all because I was worried of aggroing more enemies in the process. However, it's worth a try, and I'll start using fear again and see how it goes.
Oh, and it turns out I didn't have any points in Demonic Brutality. Doh! I didn't pay much attention to my Warlock before, I left her sitting at 26 til recently. Guess I need to go respec now that I have a better idea of what to put talents into.
Jul 3rd 2009 10:31PM Blizzard is severely discouraging me right now. The fun in the game is not "do the strategy exactly as Blizzard designed it to be done".
Jul 3rd 2009 10:18PM Dred would consider this lunch and be done with it, then go have some coffee once he's finished with Onyxia.
Jul 3rd 2009 10:13PM Awe, that raptor is damn cute. I want one.
Jul 2nd 2009 4:46PM Hmm... they are speaking of a "demonic flying mount" for Warlocks. But if a Warlock got their own flying mount, wouldn't the Paladins just start crying about it, since they also have a summoned land mount?
Well, apart from that, I'm currently leveling a Warlock. I went to Demonology spec, and even though that's my spec, my Voidwalker seems to have an incredibly difficult time picking up enemies. At level 40, I don't have a single way to reduce my threat, or anything, so I end up either kiting the enemies, running away, or wasting a soul stone.
I think there is a skill at level 60 to help reduce threat, but... that doesn't really help me right now. Sigh. Guess I'll have to wait for a patch to change this, or just deal with it until level 60.
Jul 2nd 2009 4:31PM Dear God. Now we'll have all sorts of traiterous dogs running around our cities.
Jul 2nd 2009 4:27PM It almost feels like Blizzard is coming out with raids too fast. I just hope (with my lazy/casual raiding style) that I can experience all of the raids in this expansion before they start planning the next expansion.
Guess I'm gonna have to put in some serious Ulduar raiding hours if I want to get into the Octagon.
Jun 21st 2009 3:38AM Pardon me, but I'm pretty sure I pay the same amount that you do every month to play this game, regardless of what job I have or how much time I have to play the game. So I think I have the same right as you to see end-game content without having to be a hard-core raider.
I couldn't even understand HALF of what you wrote, anyway.
Jun 21st 2009 3:25AM Caz makes a good point when he refers to the end-game as a "career". Being good at WoW now means you need damn good gear AKA lots of time spent raiding. By allowing players to obtain SOME Tier 8 from heroics now, it just gets things going for guilds who are having a difficult time getting through Ulduar.
You can't buy all of the Tier 8 set from the vendor. You can't buy an item for every single slot. There's still some raiding involved. Looks to me like they're just making it easier to progress (but not completely removing the challenge of Ulduar).
Though I have to admit, I'm unhappy with the minor druid nerf, and I'm incredibly pissed about buffing Paladins... AGAIN. It's hard enough to take a Paladin down in PvP, and now they get more power?
Oh, and let's not forget the amount of whining we're going to hear from people who have a Death Knight as their main. Won't that be fun?
