Oct 13th 2009 2:31PM So as a Druid main, my heart jumped when they soared off the cycles and shifted into flight form and then dive bombed into bear form.....
That. Was. Awesome.
That is all.
Oct 13th 2009 8:19AM I merged mine for a battlebot...but since then it's been completely unnoticeable a change...face, some people are just stupid. We keep forgetting this. /sigh

Great guy, WORST. TANK. EVER.
Oct 2nd 2009 6:56AM I don't know about you guys, the rejuv changes aren't going to affect me because I normally reapply that around 12 seconds anyhow, so l never really got the full benefit of the spell. Was that an effective method? Well it never failed me before and mana efficiency has never been a problem, so I would argue the question is moot.
My only concern this time around is Improved Barkskin. I don't PVP in tree form but I DO PVP as resto. My reasoning is because my utility. I can cast heals, damage spells (not a lot, but enough to help bring down some people) and crowd control spells (this is most important...especially fighting other resto druids) so I rely heavily on IBS as a saving grace when getting ganked by a retardin or a rogue. I'm definitely going to feel this change.

I like the idea of mailing the seals, but where the idea fails is when you hit the snag in the Silver Covenant to Sunreaver (and vice versa) rep translation. By resetting the the entire AT progress line for players, you then give them the opportunity to rebuild that reputation you've lost in the transfer (250rep points per quest at four valiant quests and when you're able 4 champion quests a day is 2000 rep points a day when you've earned champion status and are doing those quests on top of the valiant quests for another city).
The reason why the Silver Covenant and Sunreaver reps don't translate is because it gives a players access to daily quests that shouldn't be available if they are not a champion of their faction. And since it was determined that players should start over when they transfer factions, then the only way to close off those quests is to reset the rep points for the relative AT faction (SC to Sun or Sun to SC). In the end I get why Blizz decided on the changes.
I for one, transferred knowing what would happen because, well...MORE GOLD! LoL. Doing the quests again means getting a TON of gold which is awesome so I'll be back to where I was before I transferred but not after I make some monies.
Sep 7th 2009 9:57AM My favorite is a more obvious one: Chester Copperpot in Storm Peaks named after the character of the same name in "The Goonies" who was killed, oddly enough, by a giant stone....go figure.
Devs have a nice sense of humor.

"well, forgive my cynicism here, that is probably exactly the response Blizzard wants. They seem to want the faction change, name change, race change, etc. to be a big enough deal that players will not do it on a whim but consider it and only do it if they really want to. Then after you've done it they want you to not turn right around and go back."
That's not cynicism, that's a very realistic point of view. I changed my faction after MUCH consideration. I had to consider 1) the price; 2) the realm I was on and the balance issue; 3) the contacts and frequent PUG friends I made; 4) the faction titles and achievement penalties associated with the Argent Tournament, etc...It goes on. Any smart person who changed their factions took these among other things into consideration before actually doing it, adding that there's no turning back for at least two months. All this goes in line of what you were saying about how Blizzard probably wanted to control the number of transfers so there was a few pitfalls in doing so, so that the ones who truly wanted to do it would after much internal debate.
Sep 3rd 2009 6:27AM Per the FAQ....pets will not change, period. The ones you have going into the transfer will be the ones you have coming out.

The Crusader title shouldn't be lost... all the Argent achievements have an equivalent on both sides and according to the official WOW FAQ, it should transfer over....if it doesn't, they just need to open a ticket.
