Apr 3rd 2012 4:56PM No, it's the "I bet you can't keep the men off you" part that makes it creepy. I'll explain.
Look at it this way, he calls the men strong, and says "you're all the rage with the ladies." This is like saying that the male Pandaran has many admirers because of his battle-prowess, and is strong so he can choose which of those admirers he wants to pursue or not.
When he says the women are gorgeous and "I bet you can't keep the men off you," it's like saying that the female Pandaran is too weak to fend off any admirers she isn't interested in. Also it says that these are admirers she has because of her looks (something she is born with) and not her battle-prowess (which she trained hard to get).
It's possible that the NPC dialogue is intended to be sarcastic, but that doesn't carry in the text of the quest. If there had been voice acting with definite sarcasm, maybe this would not be an issue.
Apr 3rd 2012 3:49PM I love Atonement! Been using it since the end of Wrath. It's simple, easy to time, and a smart heal. Allowing Penance to be used is going to be really fun, since each tick will produce a counterpart heal. I hope it works like a channeled Prayer of Mending, only you also damage the boss a little.
Since it's a glyph and available to Holy as well, I might actually try Holy instead of sticking to Disc only. I never use my poor old Shadow spec... Then again, I never liked stances.
What the heck, it's Beta. If I try something I don't like in there, at least I can leave feedback before it goes live.
Apr 3rd 2012 2:22PM From what I understand, Scarlet Halls is going to be a Forsaken-centric dungeon.
I agree that the idea of new Troll dungeons don't thrill me. It would be cool to see more than one of most of these types of dungeons.
One thing I would like to see in an encounter is Magatha Grimtotem. Where the heck is she, what has she been doing with that powerful artifact she left Thousand Needles with, and when do we get to fight her for it?
Apr 3rd 2012 9:38AM I don't like to PvP because of the attitudes of the people I frequently encounter while trying it. Even people who are usually calm during our raids somehow turn into screaming jerks once the battleground starts.
Insults, trash-talk, and yelling at people is not my idea of fun, and doesn't constructively help me learn where I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to do during the battle.
Frankly, I would rather be fishing or doing archaeology. In fact, that's exactly what I do when my husband PvPs...have to wear my noise-cancelling headset to block out all the yelling that goes on in his Vent.
Apr 2nd 2012 6:19PM This is so awesome, I love it!
Very simply done, but the timing is amazingly clever.
Apr 2nd 2012 2:04PM Just a word about new-to-wow spouses joining the guild their partner is in...only decided to say this because Shannon writes that "I don't want to be seen as the jealous wife trying to worm her way into the guild."
It's generally accepted that folks just starting out want to play with their families. I enjoy being able to chat with my guildmates' parents, husbands, wives, kids, and cousins whatever level they are.
Mar 30th 2012 9:15AM When referring to a group of Druids, I sometimes say "my Droodies" because it reminds me of Droogies from A Clockwork Orange. Sometimes people ask me where my zeros are.
Of course, when I explain it most don't get that reference, but whatever. It amuses me.
Mar 28th 2012 2:15PM Leave your friends behind...alone! Now a significant other is another story...
Mar 28th 2012 10:52AM The article says:
"I'm not looking for "The whole thing sucks -- I'm quitting WoW!" But what just isn't really interesting or exciting to you?"
People saying they are going to quit because they don't like the entire expansion are answering against the spirit of the topic.
Maybe that's why they are getting downvoted.
