Apr 12th 2010 6:13PM Good to see the rogue bias is alive and well. I'd get worried if it wasn't.
Can't remember the last time my rogue convinced a member of the opposite arena team to sit still so it could be completely debuffed before being 'tank and spanked' to death.
High PVE damage doesn't perfectly correlate to high PVP damage.
Also, check out the top parses from World of Logs for Icecrown bosses and you will see that rogues are hardly coming out on top on most fights. They are competive but other classes and specs can outdo them handily on a number of fights.
Oct 5th 2009 11:37AM Hunter that can't handle a rogue in pvp is a bad hunter.
Sep 10th 2009 11:40AM One competent rogue can lock down any one of the healers on faction champs without breaking a sweat. Run debuff poisons (mind-numbing and crippling (or wound if you are using your pvp spec)) and the healers will never get a heal with a cast time off. Put your egos aside on this fight. Just shut down the healers and burn the melee on champs and it is an easy win.
And everyone endorsing FoK spam for interrupts is doing it wrong and just plain lazy, not to mention probably screwing up everyone else's CC during the fight. The Throwing Spec nerf is just around the corner anyhow so you might as well get used to using CS/KS/Kick/Gouge/Blind correctly for this fight now.
Jun 25th 2009 4:30PM If you are a paladin tank, you already have an spell interrupt for bosses. It is called Hammer of Justice. Works just fine.
Granted that the cooldown is a bit longer than most other classes have (20 sec talented) but it is certainly viable.
Drives me nuts when I hear paladins complain they can't interrupt bosses. It isn't hard. Use the tools you are given.
