The Lawbringer: Where localization meets legal reasoning {WoW}

Jun 10th 2011 5:29PM Bilbo Baggins' name is localized to "Bilbo Bolson" in the spanish translation of Lord of the Rings. Another gleaming example of horribad localization.

Translates to ---> Bilbo Big Bag.

wtf localizers???

The Daily Blues {WoW}

Sep 2nd 2010 9:31AM "We fixed some class problems with glyphs in LK, which was an easy solution to do at the time, but now is the time to undo all of that and let the classes stand on their own without the glyphs."

Please let this mean Glyph of Shadowflame is gone. I hated that glyph.

"Oh yeah, and uh... we forgot to give warlocks an effective kiting tool after nerfing Fear (a hundred times) sooo.... [Glyph of Shadowflame] There ya go! :D"

Effective, but still: worst fix EVAR. At least just make the snare baseline in the spell, ya know? I will be so glad if that glyph is gone.

Cataclysm Beta: Warlock specializations and talents {WoW}

Jul 17th 2010 3:03PM Welcome, Eli Khoury! :D

I am so glad to read a witty, helarious, and well written Blood Pact as a warlock who has harbored an embarrasing literary crush on Mr. Archmagepants, err.. Frostitute-pants! for some time now.

"There will be explosions. Bring a towel."

Cataclysm Beta: Pets' new Move To command {WoW}

Jul 16th 2010 3:07PM The sad, forsaken Demonology warlock hiding deep within my Affliction warlock just got an evil Christmas present in July.

The Felguard's Intercept ability sounds great vs melee until you realize that most times you need it more as an Intervene. Having your pet follow you to a location, tell it to Stay, then having him Intercept that rogue off you 1 minute later is super cool, but is also unnecesarily complicated.

Pet "Move to" command FTW!

Shifting Perspectives: Class homogenization and the cat {WoW}

Apr 21st 2010 12:00AM Personally, I think Ferals need Kick for the same reason that MS should have been an Arena Aura. 5 second lockout on a 10 second CD? Yes, please. I don't even care if it's juked. I'll take one of their spell schools on 50% lockdown over no schools, tyvm.

Blizz just designs themselves into Titansteel corners in pvp all the time. It took them 3 expansions to figure out how to fix stuns (instant abilities that cause someone else's keyboard to turn into a mud brick for X seconds).

And even with that they just said, "Screw it; you all have 180k health now. Stunlock that, bi***es."

Shifting Perspectives: Class homogenization and the cat {WoW}

Apr 20th 2010 11:48PM And defeated, the Troll-who-thinks-his-IQ-is-170-but-in-reality-is-more-like-70 moves on to another hapless forum post somewhere to try and sound intelligent to some other crowd of poeple who also don't care...

Way to fail in your apparently favorite media, dude. Have a nice life.

Shifting Perspectives: The forest and the trees {WoW}

Apr 13th 2010 10:40PM I agree, Allison said it all. Mechanics in the spec elsewhere? Great.

FUN FACTOR? Tree of Life.

I enjoy being the tree showering my party in healing gusts of wind-blown leaves.

Shifting Perspectives: The forest and the trees {WoW}

Apr 13th 2010 10:36PM I've played a druid for over a year now. I chose the class specifically for it's ability to fulfill many different rolls based on spec choice, the nature-themed spells and forms, and most importantly: for the shapeshifting. Mechanics baked into the tree elsewhere? great. Fun Factor? Tree of Life.

I enjoy being the tree showering my party in healing gusts of wind-blown leaves.

Arcane Brilliance: The end of an era {WoW}

Apr 11th 2010 5:09PM But... but.... I was really happy. :( You just gave me a pony and...

...and killed it.

Around Azeroth: The coup {WoW}

Apr 11th 2010 10:05AM Believe it or not, I've never done the Wrathgate questline on either of my 80s.

I just never spend enough time questing in Dragonblight. *shrugs*
Where can I start it?
