That bit of null space between servers
Jan 7th 2010 8:20AM I think that a better analogy then a band would be traditional family unit.
Tank is Dad: They are the head of the family, strong and influential. They stand up for the rest of the family and lead from the front.
DPS are Children: The family unit can operate with none, one or more of them but they make everything so much more enjoyable. They mess around and bicker but the good ones know when to behave.
Healer is Mum: Whereas the Tank and DPS all want to be in the limelight, Mum is happy to pull the strings from the background. Mum packs the lunches, patches up cuts and grazes and nurses us when we are sick.
Much like a family unit, the little DPS children (of hybrid classes) often become Tanks/Healers over time, especially those with good role models.
Dec 8th 2009 1:18PM With this attunement do I need to do it on normal, heroic or both?
Dec 8th 2009 4:50AM At time of my vote WoW was leading with 68% of the vote.
Nov 6th 2009 2:07AM With regards to EPL receiving a moderate overhaul, could this have something to do with the port shown in the Blizzcon pics?
Jun 28th 2009 4:16AM Why not instead of a levelling server make use of the "phasing" tech in the old world?
Much like the DK starting are have the zones change over time. So you have returned from Northrend and find that Tirisfal is over run with (high level) scarlet crusade, the have taken Brill and are knocking on the doors of Undercity. The zepplin towers being bastions of defence requiring a gauntlet run to get to.
Or be part of a big push into the Eastern Plaguelands with the ultimate aim of aiding the Argent Dawn in capturing Stratholme. Stratholme would then become a neutral garrison town ran by the Argent Dawn.
In my Tirisfal suggestions, the inside (i.e once you have used the lift) would continue to be unphased, all levels would still mingle and crucially the auction house would be cross level.
Now whilst a phased Azeroth would prevent level 80s helping their low level buddies it would also stop 80s ganking low levellers, but would bring people back to the classic areas, recycling alot of the existing code and also still allow you to help your alts through the mail system.
