Nov 21st 2009 12:24AM Kool Kids Klub - We're a white friendly guild where it's okay to talk about how you love the fact you or someone you know is white. Being white is so awesome! All can apply!
No, it's wrong that Blizzard was forced to (years ago) allow these types of guilds to exist, especially since something like Kool Kids Klub would not be allowed to.
Nov 20th 2009 11:53PM I can understand a "tauren only guild" or a "warriors only" guild or a "people who have Thunderfury only guild" but I can't understand why Blizzard allows these "(insert physical attribute of the player which has nothing to do with the game)-friendly" guilds.
White-friendly water fountains were banned a long time ago.
Nov 20th 2009 11:42PM Haha yeah that's right, mark it down. Continue with your sexist guilds that ought be banned for discriminatory policies. That's right. Become what you hate. Give in to the dark side. Mark this one down too.
There have been more than a handful, but even one is wrong. It has nothing to do with this game. Making everything in your life about the fact you have blue eyes is really really fucked up. And I feel sorry for you if you feel the need to do that. Your physical makeup should not control your life. It also should control your make believe life in a goddamn game.
Nov 20th 2009 11:13PM I'm happy for you and I'm gonna let you finish, but the amount of times this blog talks about gay people in wow is really getting to me. Who the hell cares... you can't be gay in game because it's a sword and sorcery video game, not a sexual fantasy video game, and physical make up of the person controlling the toon has nothing to do with the game. It's obnoxious that these guilds exist (a "White Power" guild would be banned, and quite rightly) and it's made worse by this blog in particular.
Oct 10th 2009 4:45PM Sam's Town and Sawdust were better than Hot Fuss. Sam's Town was one of the better albums of 2006, even though it was rather pretentious (which is why Coldplay is terrible all the time). But their most recent album is garbage aimed at eurotrash. The Killers manage to combine the worst parts of “Hot Fuss” (the uninteresting spaced out new wave trash) with the worst parts of “Sam’s Town” (the over-the-top dramatic grandiose) to create something truly awful. It's epic for epic's sake, like they want purples just because they are purple; the stats are bad for a level 20 but it's PURPLE!
Flower's narcissism and self-importance is why the Killers are one big epic fail with their recent album; I just didn’t think it would happen this fast. He's running around wearing druid shoulder pads. What the fuck. You can see it on the picture at the beginning of this article. What. The. Fuck. Songs like “This Is Your Life” and “The World We Live In” just scratch the surface of how important Flowers is trying to be on this album. The problem is, songs like “Joy Ride,” “A Dustland Fairytale” and album-ender “Goodnight, Travel Well” are so inconceivably stupid, it’s hard to take anything else seriously. "Human" is kind of catchy, but I liked it better when the song was titled "Read My Mind" because it didn't have such asinine lyrics.
The album that “Day & Age” is like Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida”, only it’s worse. Coldplay's frontman is so full of himself and that's one reason why they suck. The other reason is their lyrics are terrible ("IT WAS ALL YELLOW"... dumb. fucking. lyrics.). The saddest part is that Martin is a better lyricist than Flowers.
The album was pretty big in Europe because of this fact of life: Europeans have shitty taste in music.
If you didn't quite get it, the Killers suck. I used to like them, I even went to a concert of theirs, but Day & Age is one of the worst albums of the century.
There is plenty of good music these days. Local station's radio stream: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/the_current/streams.shtml
It usually has some good stuff on it, although recently they've been playing songs more than few times a week. playlist: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/the_current/playlist/playlist.php
Jun 29th 2009 2:20PM The armor in WoW has never had an "authentic medieval armor look". It's heavily stylized, which is all part of why people like it. BC did take it into a different stylistic direction that I didn't particularly care for, but WotLK brought it back.
As for other comments about not spending enough time on the leveling gear, I like how Blizzard made most of them fairly similar so you didn't look like a complete clown while leveling.
And as I said above, I'm fairly certain this "T9" is really the dungeon set for the new 5 man content (as the file name seems to point to that rather than T9).
Jun 29th 2009 10:57AM If you look at the names of those "new t9" they don't say T9. what they say are things like "Helm_Plate_ArgentAlliance_D_01Deathknight.blp". D_01 eh? Argent Dungeon 1 set?
There is a new 5 man instance coming. this makes far more sense than T9.
