Aug 17th 2009 1:05AM I'm a reader who quit Eve halfway into the 10-day trial, doesn't have time for much other than WoW, and probably wouldn't be willing to spend the time to get up to speed in Eve or deal with the hassles of travel or losing stuff through PvP
I love reading the Eve stories though.
I'd be thrilled if this depth of coverage was given to other games so I could absorb their lore, mechanics, and player culture without having to buy and play.

Nov 6th 2006 12:41PM The proper stereotypes:
When I played Alliance, everyone complained that the Horde were a bunch of loser teenage powergamers because they only cared about getting the better PvP racials, play 200 hours a day, etc.
When I played Horde, everyone complained that the Alliance were a bunch of sheep who got all their epix on Easy Mode because of Paladin buffs and Fear Ward.
Science says: whichever faction has the highest percentage of guilds self-destructing is the worst faction! ^_^

Aug 31st 2006 1:52PM *nod* I think the scariest C'thun quote was "Teh Hunter will ninja j00r lewt."
Seriously, nothing outright creeped me out, but the screenshot of the chained dead dragon from BWL was a spooky highlight for me when I saw it the first time, and the people you give experimental death potions to in Brill are good horror.
The secret underground passages in Deadwind Pass near Med's tower are kinda spooky too, but that could be mostly because there's no/quiet music there.
Aug 21st 2006 12:01PM What we don't know is so many of the variables that the Arena itself will have -- how long will the matches last before the winner is whoever is "ahead on points"? Are there going to be powerups available like Warsong Gulch, and if so, how important will they be to winning? If the powerups are spread out, it could possibly provide an incentive for your group to split up and be picked off. And, how large is the arena itself? Your hunter might be a liability in a small 2v2 arena, but absolutely own a large 5v5 arena where players are forced to spread out.
Nov 10th 2005 6:29PM Hi, I liked reading your ideas. The missing part of the equation in my mind is: What about the people who share information for the joy of that information, and don't care about the money? If I want friends on my pitiful little LiveJournal to read an article, it's easiest for me to cut and paste it. I don't care about money enough to jump through hoops to get my small share of it, but the upstream provider may care very much that he lost that 6c, or may be legally bound to harass me over that 6c lest he lose his rights.
