Transmogrify your character into a dark ranger, take 1 {WoW}

Mar 3rd 2012 7:47AM I tried all yesterday putting this set together for my nightelf druid.
Luckily, the boots dropped in the second hc Arcatraz. I couldn't find Guardian belt on my server, nor did I like Dusky belt, so I left it at the one I had from DS.
Getting the 4 apexis crystals took some time, notably because I did the Bashir's Landing event once, and bought a http://www.wowhead.com/item=32759, summoned the http://www.wowhead.com/npc=23390/bashirs-harbinger which promptly despawned...

I had fun getting everything together, here's my Sams with the new transmog, sadly I just can't find a fitting staff :-(

Around Azeroth: Pink flamingos {WoW}

Feb 13th 2012 2:24PM Aww yay for Laume! And yay for featuring our little server again.

Breakfast Topic: What's the longest you've ever farmed for something? {WoW}

Sep 30th 2011 12:36PM The longest was actually my quest to find a green Madexx, which took about 2 weeks of solid scorpion camping :-)

Then, there's 5-6 days of solid camping for my druid's time-lost and Aeonaxx, and my hunter's time-lost.

But by rehoming rares etc, I collected so much Karma that a third time-lost spawned on my second hunter, who just dinged 80, after sitting on a spawn spot for 15 mins, a camel-hoarder title after the 4th fake statue, and a couple of months a camel-hoarder title for the second huntress (just the statue I found after the first one that got me a camel (and 2 more for a guildie and a friend, before they fixed it).

I also found the very first Poseidus on my realm that dropped the reins...

But one thing to say, if it hasn't been said already:

Visit Ponderance's website, tlpdresource.com. It will seriously, seriously make you a better camper, if you're either after Aeonaxx, or the elusive Time-Lost.

Gold Capped: Selling pets for fun and profit {WoW}

Sep 7th 2011 1:21PM I do this for free, but you can summon people up to Jadefang's ledge (with guild perk) when she's up, put loot on free for all, kill her and let them loot the companion pet. I summoned a lvl 18 there the other night and surprised them :-)

The Daily Blues {WoW}

Jul 22nd 2010 10:47AM The "Accadian Empire" track seems to be in so many trailers recently.

Breakfast Topic: The feral bond {WoW}

Jul 21st 2010 12:08PM I know what it's like. I'm feral with heart and soul, have two alliance druids and currently levelling a third one on horde side. Dance parties in Dalaran, impromptu rp (I'm on an rp server), and suddenly there's six other druids and a few people from other classes dancing in various forms, with various trinkets, the beer kegs come out, the barbeque's, the braziers, and people are having fun.

Breakfast Topic: Way better than my first time {WoW}

Jul 10th 2010 9:09AM I spent months levelling my first character, a hunter, to 70 (I started in TBC), and then I created my first alt, a druid. With a lot of breaks in between, I slowly worked on the druid, and she was questing in the Plaguelands when Wrath came out. I continued levelling her, and she ended up being my first character at 80. However, after the raiding break my community took to allow everyone to get from 70 to 80 in plenty of time, I had to switch back to my hunter since there simply was no spot in our team for another (at that time very unskilled) melee or tank. So I levelled my hunter to 80, and I found it incredibly tedious, the only thing that I was looking forward to was hunting for Loque'Nahak when I'd reached 80. Without the determination of a friend, I'd still be doodling in the mid-70's.
A few months into the raid start of Wrath, my community stopped raiding due to several reasons and at that point my druid became my new main character, and I hardly played the hunter (apart from chasing one spirit beast after the other). I fell in love with feral dps, and ditched my tanking dualspec for a pvp feral spec, since I wanted her to be dps only. Of course, I started to miss tanking so I levelled a second druid, that I planned to transfer to horde side since the tauren druid feral forms are just pure win, and to turn into a tanking character only. This was my first alt that had heirloom items, and together with the Tourguide addon, I was at 80 quicker than I could think. The levels just seemed to zoom past, and the repetition of grinding through old content wasn't so hard to bear anymore, I just got on with it.
I am currently levelling a third druid, this time on hordeside, since I discovered that one can send heirloom items across factions. I am dreading getting to Northrend, even with heirlooms the questing doesn't seem to stop. But the different faction will open up a whole new bunch of quests, and being a tank with experience this time, I can even access dungeons rather fast, bringing a change from the monotony of questing.
I love the druid class so much that I am still not bored of it. But I am not the only one with two or more characters of the same class :-)

Call for Submissions: Best and worst ways to vet puggers {WoW}

Jul 10th 2010 5:26AM Several times it has happened to me that when someone was looking for a few more members for their pug, I would whisper a polite reply, all punctuations, grammar included, only to be told that the group is already full. The time it takes to type a sentence and and "inv" seems to make the difference between spot or not :-)

Breakfast Topic: Fear ... so exhilarating {WoW}

May 29th 2010 8:39AM Abominations, before WotLK was out. Being in the Eastern Plaguelands levelling on your own is quite creepy. But the abominations with all their disgusting bits just about to spill out of their bellies, did scare me.
