Nov 1st 2011 10:27AM Each xpac they've had a different hub...so I think they are going to push Darnassus or Exodar and Thunderbluff. Maybe stating that those are the closest locations to the Isle of Pandaria. Yes it could be in the middle of the map near the Maelstorm, but we've been there soo many times( WC3, WC3:FT,WoW boats/zepplins, WoW:Cata zones) that its unlikely. We havent been west of Kalimdor, nor east of E. Kingdomes. And Cata did destroy the one island off of Feralas so its been heavily effected. Not to mention the Old God/insects of AQ nearby as well that links with the new bugs/old god stuff of pandaria.
Oct 31st 2011 4:45PM With the changes with the new expansion, I'd like to see a gold capped feature on possible glyph strategies for the new expansion.
I see it as reasonable that with talent changes, a lot of glyphs are going to be out dated and need to be replaced. These will be available at varying levels, so my thoughts was to start stock piling inks of all types. This is because I'm sure with 5.0 the tradeall ink will change to whatever MoP ink will be needed. Of course this doesnt even count the fact that:
a) there will be pandas,
b) there will be new players, or
c) there will be new monk glyphs.
Not sure what kind of price fluctuation we could expect with these new low lvl pandas and low lvl monks, but i think most of those two will be BoA geared rerolls so they probably wont spend too much time leveling herbalism once they hit 15 and can start to chain queue in the Dungeon finder. Of course thats just my tinfoil hat thoughts...and I'm new to the gold making game. Just figured it'd be best to start looking for low prices now before we get to the point where EVERYONE thinks they can get in on it. Any other thoughts?
Oct 23rd 2011 6:00PM Yes innovation and new story lines are a good thing. But when you look at the art style they are using its obvious where most of their CURRENT creative focus came from. The original sketch was a cute idea but had potentially racists themes (equivalent of having a native american with a "peace pipe"/a mexican look unwashed with a sombero / a canadian with mayonnaise on a sandwich /etc).
As far as the rest of the races mentioned by suzaku, either the name of the race or the art style they pushed forward with, give strength to the story they are telling. Moonkin form is refered to as thunder chicken or boomkin and it is suppose to represent wildkin. If blizzard had the quest chain in Wintersprings that told the story of their beginings / purpose / and history but had called them the Thunder Chicken Elves... would we take the story and history as logical? Or would we call it silly and a waste of time.
Oct 23rd 2011 11:27AM I'm so happy with so many of the changes that have been reported save for the big one. Pandas / Pandarians. It not just the models/themes that they are going with, but the fact that they don't fit and there is already pre-existing races and lore that they could have retlored in. Why not Furbolgs, when a group saw the corruption spread they fled and reinforced their inner peace and thats where the monk class comes in. Or if nothing else just name their race differently, like call them the Ursine or Ursa.
This game relies on pop culture for much of its humor and lore. Why isnt there an issue with Tauren, they care Cow people after all. Because humoid Cow = Minotaur. Plus they called them something that doesn't relate to their real world pop culture version. Would they be taken as seriously if they were called the Herd. How about the Grazen.
The only pop culture we have of pandas is Kungfu Panda and similar sources. Even looking at myth / lore of Giant Pandas, they were known for crying at a funeral. Not getting revenge. Not for protecting or being a source of strength. But to mourn.
Is that something to focus an expansion about, mourning? World of Warcraft: Mourning of War? Thats the title their lore information is point at.
Oct 18th 2011 10:15AM Heres my guess for blizcon.... they will raise the gold cap to 10 Million gold.
Oct 11th 2011 2:26PM To contiribute to your "multiclass" thought, maybe a better phrasing would be "Cross Role Points". Dps with a heal or tank class depending on what makes more sense, healers having a way to boost their dps abilities while in a heal spec, and tanks having a way maybe throw out a little "Shadow priest like" heals through damage taken.
Oct 11th 2011 2:00PM I liked your mention of a possible region wide auction house. I know many people have stated it would be rough to sell things with having that much larger of a pool, and it would ruin the "community" of it, but it would be awesome if they would make the Neutral goblin auction houses as region wide. As it stands, the neutral AH's have never had more than 100 auctions on any server I've ever been on.
Oct 4th 2011 9:13AM As an enhance shammy who tops the charts on a regular basis... I love the fact that I'm getting more buffs. And these charts show that I should be lagging behind. Does that mean its time to find a new guild/raid group?
Sep 19th 2011 10:02PM The issue with most of the comments so far, is none of them make the game "fun". Blizz won't do that. Now if they put in a faction that can only be raised by making "donations", and having that faction have the mounts / pets / faction altering trinkets(orb of deception), that would truly be a gold sink they could control. 1g = 1rep point to friendly, 2g to honored, 5 g to revered, 10g to exalted. But they would have to have extremely cool items. At friendly maybe consumable appearance buffs, honored have pets, revered have non consumed toys, and exalted have the mounts. Exalted could even have those items that you can buy at the blizz store.
Sep 17th 2011 10:43PM We recently tried to rename our guild, and found out its a part of a paid service that they are rolling out with soon, so they are no longer allowing it.
