Jan 29th 2012 5:54PM Thanks for the suggestions. I actually own Warcraft 3 and just recently finished playing through the whole campaign. I also got Warcraft 1 just to see the story line...and there isn't much in that game. I may play through Warcraft 3 again as it fits into the timeline since I am reading through the Warcraft stories in Chronological order.
I might have to look into buying Warcraft 2 as well but hopefully the game play is better than Warcraft 1...

Jan 29th 2012 4:23PM Question:
Since I am unable to play WoW for the next year or so (see my comment above), in order to satisfy my Azeroth desires I have started reading the Warcraft books. Right now I am following the Chronological Guide on this website for the books. I was just wondering, is that list being updated as new books and short stories come out?
Jan 29th 2012 4:20PM Question:
Are there any single player games that are close enough to WoW to keep me satisfied until I can play again? Prehaps some fan has made a cheap online game that is based in the same universe? I currently live in a country with slow internet and won't be able to play WoW again for another 17 months, unless the internet improves.
Jan 23rd 2012 6:18PM I played LOTRO and the guild halls in that game are decent in that it added some guild storage and plenty of options to decorate but it lacked individuality as every guild hall had the same outline.
I also played Runes of Magic where guilds could build a castle. Everyone could donate resources to help add new buildings to the castle or whatever. Then, once a week was guild battle night and 2 guilds would line up against each other and fight a massive PVP battle. Based on the buildings your guild had constructed in the castle, you had different things you could use in the battle.
The winning guild got some nice rewards and te best part was that everyone in the guild could participate no matter what level they were.
I would love this to be in WoW but with Blizzard's wonderful improvements.
Jan 5th 2012 7:32PM What if it was even more like real archeology? You have to find a book or prehaps a map somewhere that will discribe a dig site and you have to find it. Dig sites are no longer marked on the map but instead, the book will tell you that the location is rumored to be between these 2 landmarks or prehaps even coordinates then we go and try to find that dig site but it doesn't disappear afterward.
What if we could even work at a dig site so long that we uncovered whole buildings (phased for us of course) then there could be some sort of solo archeology instance where we fight big spiders and bats or whatever then get some rare artifact if we beat the giant Mummy at the end.
Jan 5th 2012 6:20PM I have never desired to have a statue of my name but I have always wanted the quest givers to recognize me. Once I kill some mega boss, then to have someone ask me to go collect food or pelts for them seems silly. I wouldn't mind it as much if the quest giver recognized me though. "Sorry to bother one such as you with such a menial task but we are short handed and supplies are low..."
NPCs should be able to check achievements and respond to you based on those achievements. Like if you have the 50,000 critter killer achievement the animal lovers in Borean Tundra hate you.
Jan 3rd 2012 7:15PM While I am thinking the mount and pet are going to be TCG items, I wouldn't be opposed to another attack from the demons. Some people are saying they don't want to fight more demons but if you look at the lore, there are really 3 main groups of bad guys. Demons, Scourge, and Old Gods. But even then, the Scourge were created by the demons so I personally wouldn't mind another chance to kill some more of them.
