Oct 2nd 2009 4:01AM I'm down to four biscuits! Let's go biscuits!
Jul 2nd 2009 5:57PM I'm glad Blizzard's doing this service the way they are. I just hope they'll prioritize some seriously pathetic racials over more profession perks (yes, it's many of the same designers), and take a look at some of the "necessary" ones, like Perception or Elusiveness when you're a Rogue. Perhaps a talent that grants the bonus early in the tree that Night Elves and Humans can pass up, as they won't stack? I just don't think Night Elf and Human Racials are a problem if you drop those two with no compensation.
That said, allowing same-side race change only deepens the problem of the superior race on a class, for each class. Do we need to see *more* Human or Night Elf Rogues? What happens when, say for Dwarves, they change Stoneform to something like "Removes all Damage over Time Effects and makes the player invulnerable from these effects for 4 seconds", then goes to, as they did with the goggles, nerf the Night Elf and Alliance Racials to be something akin to Treasure Finding? Well then you have people 1) complaining that Blizzard *made* them race change to compete in Arenas, and 2) claim that Blizzard's balancing racials as a money-making scheme.
I don't know the solution to racial imbalance, but it's not just throwing your hands in the air and saying "we give up, pay us money and we'll let you out of the hole you dug yourself".
