Apr 3rd 2012 2:43PM I actually thought spamming shield block was fun. Weaving sunders in between them and heroic strikes made it sort of a mindless but fun pattern.
Apr 1st 2012 3:23AM Oh my god I totally forgot what was going on for one split second as I've been awake about 24 hours and for a moment I thought Blizzard was about to be crucified by their Panda hating fan base. I love this.

if game makers preplanned for RP servers with a framework that supported things like banning a player from a specific server from not the game itself, it would go a long way for RP servers.
First, there should only be one role playing server to keep all the role players concentrated. If you want to be a snob about certain role players, then stay with your click and keep an ignore list.
Secondly, make sure you have a bottleneck/gate in place that makes creating a character on an RP server take more effort than usual, and let people know they could easily go to a non RP server and avoid a lengthy character creation process all the while.
Provide a multiple choice questionnaire for people to enter the server with questions and answers that assert clearly what an RP server is, many people who end up killing an RP server's atmosphere don't mean to, they just don't understand what an RP server is all about.
This would leave only the intentional trolls to deal with for the grand majority of people on the server.
Now, make sure you have customer service and GMs who understand what this special server is all about. Possibly have some designated GMs specialized for a specific server type. Nothing like GMs who create content or RP, just people who understand what an RP server is about beyond a token understanding.
Players will be given a certain amount of strikes, and if they are reported for hostility towards roleplayers and constant problems, they can be banned from the RP server for good, while still able to play on normal servers.
These few rules would do a lot to improve the current situation with games like WOW and SWTOR for keeping roleplayers together and people who don't RP happy.
Mar 31st 2012 6:08AM WOW was released without battlegrounds for something around a year as i recall. PVP had meaning then. People organized world PVP and it made the world feel alive, like an MMO should be.
People act like they left PVP out of the game here or something.

Blizzard will say if they don't want to do something. Blizzard has no problem saying they don't feel something should be a part of the game, things that are popular and people want. There will always be a million fantastic new ideas you have while working on a game, MMOS even more so, but only so many people and things can warrant devotion and creativity in the staff. Blizzard employs artists and creative people who are not robots. They work on what excites them. There's no reason to lie about any of this and no reason to be suspicious in the first place except to stroke your own sense of conviction to make yourself feel like you're a big boy or girl who won't be fooled like the kiddies at the little table.

Mar 24th 2012 10:49AM What's with all the rip offs from Team fortress 2 in this game's art design? I've seen derivitive characters from the heavy gunner, the sniper, and the scout now. They look like cheap European knock off toys wearing the same hats and basic looks.
Mar 23rd 2012 2:22PM True. Maybe we beat him silly and he wakes up from being evil and goes to retire in Nagrand and leave all the complicated politics to Azeroth orcs.
Mar 23rd 2012 2:19PM Not yet, but I am sure he will by the time we fight him. This is why Blizzard usually doesn't tell us about things to come later, we get questions like this ignoring context.
