Mar 22nd 2012 6:47AM It is the same one that Fox used yesterday:
So nothing new.
Mar 21st 2012 6:37PM The link in the description is still the wrong one.
Mar 21st 2012 6:24PM Well, looks like the wrong video. You want this:
Mar 17th 2012 9:05AM Wait, what? This isn't the catwalk? I knew I should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque.
Mar 16th 2012 7:57AM Rossi: "the new Darkmoon Faire. This content is behind a gate making it only available one week out of every month, meaning that it can't ever feel as if you're obligated to do it every day. While it still means you're obligated to hit Darkmoon Island when it's accessible"
Exactly, you still have to do it when it's available. In addition if you miss a day or two and can't complete the mount or w/e you want this month? Come back next month instead of tomorrow. That feels even more like a chore to be present at the right time and not miss it.
"Another variation possible would be similar to how archaeology currently works, with unlimited repeatable quests that have a chance to provide a reward."
Sorry but the princess is in another castle...
"Imagine being able to run this quest five times a day but only once every hour. You could design quests that are infinitely repeatable but with long cooldowns (say, two to three hours) to keep players from feeling forced to sit in one spot and grind the quest out over and over again for that item they want. You could even allow the chest or satchel with the reward to be bind on equip so that players could run the quest on all their alts and then mail the satchels to their mains, if desired."
So instead of forcing players to do them all at once, you force them to log on every two to three hours?
Adding a satchel is even worse. That forces players to do the dailies on their alts to maximize the benefits on their main.
You know that progression guilds will, just to get the edge.
"Still another option would take a page from the new Darkmoon Island with a quest hub that offers some sort of limitation on how often you can get the quests."
But limiting the availability is the problem. Those that don't do them on time have to wait for the next cycle.
The solution is to do the opposite. Make dailies available for the whole month and let them stack so that you are free to choose when you want to do them.
Mar 16th 2012 7:12AM meringue: "Here's the thing though - you don't *have* to do them. :)"
Oh yeah, you don't - until the rewards are BiS or good enough for how 'easy' they can be aquired.
Look at the Moonwell Chalice and tell me you don't have to if you are pushing progression.
Mar 15th 2012 8:58AM The Apes in STV around the road to Booty Bay.
Well, on the other hand mid 20 might not have been the appropriate level to travel there...
Mar 14th 2012 9:09PM Sure, you can change your talents on the fly but that isn't the problem we are talking about.
The question we have at hand is whether it's viable during progression or not.
Because it does NOT matter if you should take S Toss or another ability for a boss that you can down.
A bleeding edge guild will bench the rogue for a superior range dps if it allows them to down the boss.
It doesn't matter much if S Toss is a good or bad option for a medicore guild where the players lack the skill to pull top notch dps or provide a optimal setup anyway.
If S Toss is a good option on a progression boss that adds more dps when you stack rogues instead of arms or fury warriors because they lack a range dps.
On the other hand if S Toss is only another version of a ret pallies Excorsism or an Enhance Shamies LB it is worse than taking one of the other abilities and pumping out more melee damage (depends on math as always, but if inferior to a range dps see above).
Mar 14th 2012 12:00PM The problem is how to balance it.
Is it viable you won't go into melee range, is it not but you need ranged dps you bench the rogue. In any other case you take either Anticipation or Versatility and twiddle your thumbs during the ranged phase.
Another 'option' is to screw setups and design a fight where Shuriken Toss is just balanced which leads to questions on how other classes perform and what happens when you stack classes.
Mar 11th 2012 8:07AM It says so in your character statistics.
