Jan 10th 2012 12:14PM I'm a transwoman, and I only play female characters because... well, I already have to perform a male identity too much in real life, far too much to my liking. Assuming one in-game too would be overkill.
Sep 6th 2011 2:16PM Varian has a single sword called Shalamayne, although it was formed by the merging of two swords from two Varians in the comic. Him having two swords in Wrath was a continuity error, which was later corrected.
Aug 11th 2011 11:55AM Well, if all the pandaren are unkillable neutral NPCs, it won't be a problem.
Aug 9th 2011 11:29PM That one was confirmed by the original poster to be fake. It was actually posted after the zones of Wrath were mapped out.
Aug 9th 2011 3:05PM Actually you can't fly in Azuremyst because old-world TBC zones were never designed for flying in the first place. Neither were classic zones until they redid them in Cataclysm. Even then you see seams, for example, invisible walls when you try to fly into TBC zones from the old world. If they enabled flying in Azuremyst, you'd quickly run into invisible walls surrounding that whole place.
However, now that Blizzard has upgraded all accounts to TBC level, I think they did that for a reason. At least, I hope that they plan to reintegrate TBC zones into the main world at some point and remove the invisible walls.
Aug 9th 2011 1:33PM This explains something that puzzled me in the Wrath era. One day, taking a ship from Auberdine to Azuremyst, I noticed that for a moment before joining the Azuremyst chat channel, I was in the Twisting Nether chat channel.
I suspect thus that Azuremyst is located in the Twisting Nether, somewhere around Outland, and my characters was briefly outside its borders while sailing in. The invisible wall around the archipelago prevent players from venturing beyond into the void and seeing that for themselves. If the ghost ship theory is true and every moving ship has a stationary ghost ship on another continent corresponding to it, I could have been on a ghost ship floating in the Twisting Nether for that split second...
While we're on the subject of falling through the world, I remember seeing a blue void under Dun Morogh after falling out of the unimplemented tunnel in the Wetlands farm area. (They closed that one with bars in Cataclysm.) And a certain spot in old Stormwind that made you fall onto a flat green area under the city. Good times...
Jul 20th 2011 11:04AM Asric and Jadaar need their own tie-in novel.
And they should get married at the end of it, too.
Jul 20th 2011 9:25AM Not none, but some aren't. I don't know the exact percentage. I'm not American.
Jul 20th 2011 9:11AM "We Americans"? I hope this "we" doesn't include the readers.
Mar 10th 2011 11:36AM Exactly. Removing that would be the first step for Blizzard to broadening their horizon, but instead they'd rather pander to their straight male audience instead of building up a sense of basic decency.
