Mists of Pandaria: Ray Cobo interview {WoW}

Mar 20th 2012 9:35AM "We didn't pay $30-60 for the revamp -- the revamp was available to EVERYONE before the expansion even hit. The revamp was a massive content update for everyone, including people who were playing free-trials. I'd argue that our monthly subscription paid for that."

You must have selective memory when it comes to what comes with an expansion then. Because along the same lines changes to the talent system are also just regular pre-expansion updates (new systems have always come pre-expansion). Even some profession-related things. You needed Wrath if you wanted to level up a scribe, but if you didn't have Wrath it did not preclude you from being able to purchase/use the Glyph system.

Just because it is content that you don't value, doesn't mean that it isn't valuable to many other players out there.

The WoW Insider Show LIVE! {WoW}

Mar 19th 2012 2:09PM So where are they on the new character models? :)

Mists of Pandaria: Chris Metzen interview {WoW}

Mar 19th 2012 8:34AM Very cool interview, and I was almost more impressed with the questions asked than the answers themselves. :)

The last bit about SWTOR was a little confusing. Did he mean that just putting a stormtrooper on the screen does not give you the feel for the SW universe and lore?

Totem Talk: Hit rating, expertise, and enhancement in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Mar 18th 2012 1:09PM @Fletcher - This is something that goes back to pen-and-paper D&D and EQ. Duel-wielding always takes a penalty on the off-hand. Usually with a traditional RPG, you'd take a penalty with your main-hand as well - so that's why wow has the "master of duel-wielding" where you don't get that penalty (on the main hand).

Breakfast Topic: What's your favorite dungeon or raid memory? {WoW}

Feb 18th 2011 8:51AM Had a lot of great memories in Kara, but my favorite was the guild's first downing of Moroes. We had wiped on him for 2 weeks and was on our sixth wipe of the nIght. The RL was unwilling to listen to suggestions and eventually logged off in a ragequit. We talked it over as a group, replaced him and his girlfriend that also quit and downed him two tries later (the group's suggestion and having the two priests shackle the adds made the fight so much easier). The cheering over vent was unbelievable.

Cataclysm: Part 4 of the elemental invasion is live {WoW}

Nov 15th 2010 4:13PM Yes, you can get the achievement by closing the rifts in the cities.

Breakfast Topic: Dude, where's my ram? {WoW}

Oct 5th 2010 10:36AM This year I did Direbrew on three toons, got 2 Rams (those toons already had them) and one Kodo (wanted it on my main, but the third toon that didn't have either got it). Also got 2 Remotes (both on one toon), 2 Shankers and one Tankard O' Terror. I was grinding my Warlock up heavily to try to get her the trinkets, but fell a level or two shy.

Breakfast Topic: Brewfest 2010 is here ... hic! {WoW}

Sep 20th 2010 8:36AM Did the meta-achievement change? I remember doing everything this year for it, but this year I only need about 6 achievements?

Did you finish the Fire Festival? {WoW}

Jul 6th 2009 9:40AM I finished the title on 3 characters, but not a single scorchling for me - we had one drop on our first attempt and I missed the roll. Also, on one character I forgot to go back and do the dailies one day and was 15 Blossoms shy of buying the vendor pet. My own fault there.

So there were things I still wanted to do, but I do have the achievement. :P
