Being a good neighbor in SimCity {Joystiq}

Mar 28th 2012 12:18PM I am super stoked about the new SimCity, but I have to say all the "green" stuff is really turning me off. I welcome complex mechanics based on real world challenges, but please don't make the environment THE central message in this game.

Despite the assurance that it won't be, I'm beginning to be a bit skeptical.

72,000 stimulus checks sent to dead people; only 55 jobs created in L. A. from $111 million funding {WalletPop}

Oct 8th 2010 5:23PM Although I've disagreed with some of your points on previous posts, your posts are great and you don't fill it with an excess of opinion. Keep up the good work.

Dealers flunk the EPA: NADA not happy with proposed fuel economy letter grades {Autoblog Green}

Sep 6th 2010 11:31AM Moving from a system that is simply informative (i.e. the current system with a simple MPG) to a system that traditionally represents a pass or fail is something I would have a beef with also. Gas mileage isn't the only measurement of a good vehicle and that's what the lettering "appears" to do. The intention may be to only rate gas mileage, but if that's the case, re-work it again to allow for a numerical MPG.

Aug 26th 2010 10:02PM I love your blogs, but I would really like it if you used bullet points or numbers when listing things.

Keep up the good work.

Streaming movies on Netflix a frugal alternative to cable TV {WalletPop}

May 7th 2010 2:08PM I just bought an Xbox 360 and we now have netflix streaming over wifi. I was a bit hesitant about the wifi streaming, but we get HD quality almost always and absolutely love it.

I hate cable and their constant price hikes so I cancelled years ago. Now that we have Netflix I imagine we will never see cable again.

Good riddance.

NBC nixes PETA ad on Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast {WalletPop}

Nov 25th 2009 10:36PM The longer I'm subscribed to this blog, the more I see articles that have nothing to do with finance.

I could care less whether or not NBC decides to air a commercial about beer, blondes, turkeys, or hamsters. I am here to read articles about finance and this isn't the place to be apparently.

By the way. Your tags for this article....Food, kids and money.....This article isn't about any of those things. This is about a commercial which some corporation decided not to air.

Really want to save the world? Quit having kids {WalletPop}

Nov 16th 2009 2:06PM Well I chuckled. I picked up on your sarcasm at the end and hope others did as well. I imagine that this article was mostly written as a satire, but it's hard to tell these days.
