Breakfast Topic: Oh, Trade chat {WoW}

Aug 2nd 2009 9:28AM Ooohhh. My server is so boring, seriously. Most of it is WTB, WTS, LF [trade skill], LFG, LFM. Working as intended.

WRUP: The Michael Sacco smells like an ugly manbeast edition {WoW}

Aug 1st 2009 9:07AM @ Adam Holisky. Ugh. It's people like you that ruin BGs for people that play them because we enjoy them. Why do you need the honor? What does it give you, PvP gear? The gear is second rate and apparently you have no use for it. Please don't queue for any BGs. Thanks.

Blizzard to focus on battlegrounds more {WoW}

Jul 30th 2009 9:31AM Quite frankly, and no offense to anyone, I find instances to be predictable and boring. Once you get the fight down, it's the same over and over and over. PvP, Arenas, and BGs are a different experience every time. I've played 1000s of BGs, and the sequence of events has never been the same once.

Gearing up for PvP - Your sound system {WoW}

Jul 23rd 2009 2:28PM Good point about listening for particular sounds like stealth...especially in BGs. I often sit at the top of the WsG ramp in stealth myself, and as players come in overhead I can count the number of dismounts and can determine classes of players by their sounds A couple of other topics to cover...video settings (viewing distance in BGs), camera zoom (I've seen WsG flag carriers run by someone who didn't see him/her because the camera was zoomed in too far), and food buffs/elixers to track humanoids and improve stealth detection).

Breakfast topic: How do you learn tactics? {WoW}

Jul 10th 2009 11:38AM Everyone donate money to Tankspot, ASAP! What if Ciderhelm stopped playing? OMG!

Breakfast topic: How do you learn tactics? {WoW}

Jul 10th 2009 8:22AM I joined my first guild recently and started casual 10-man raiding in Naxx. Since I had never seen Naxx before I read Wowwiki and watched Tankspot videos for all bosses, and I made notes on my responsibilities (melee). Nonetheless, it is very different to suddenly be in-fight, but a couple of things have really helped: 1. Deadly Boss Mods, 2. a very patient guild full of people like myself. We wiped 5 times on Heigan the Unclean last night. No one got angry. No one called another person a noob. We laughed at our failures, and we got better and better with each attempt to do The Dance - so maybe we will get him down tonight.

The best way to learn is to do it with people who are learning just like yourself.

I also made myself a valuable member by; 1. being polite, 2. coming prepared with flasks, fish, etc, and, 3. gearing myself up with epics off the AH and with exalted gear from factions.
