Shifting Perspectives: Reconsidering Wild Growth {WoW}

Oct 12th 2011 12:27PM Lissanna: "my tank healing on Rag is a liability with having to spend 3 GCD's re-applying lifebloom after every tank swap" Then don't do that! There's nothing important about having all three stacks up any more. I find there's plenty of time to manage Lifebloom if I don't stress about how many stacks are up. I also tend to move lifebloom over to the next tank every sulfuras smash (tanks don't take damage then) rather than every tank swap.

The Queue: Hey guys, what'd I miss? {WoW}

Aug 4th 2010 12:19PM I was out at The Argent Stand the other day, and noticed the little "rug" on the floor was actually a map of Northrend, seemingly stitched out of leather. Then I noticed there was a bright red X on the western side of the map. Anyone know what the X corresponds to or why the Argent Crusade cares about it?

Apr 30th 2010 2:56PM Hoping to solve the "not enough bars" issue by having combo buff+cooldown bars. That's the biggest cause of bar bloat right now.

Apr 30th 2010 2:49PM Also, being able to set bars to expire at the same speed so it's obvious which expires first, even if one is a 30 second timer and the other a 15 second timer. (Otherwise, a 30 second bar with 10 seconds left is shorter than a 15 second bar with 8 seconds left.) This is actually what got me using NeedToKnow in the first place, for feral druid.

Apr 30th 2010 1:07PM - Visual Cast time (overlay an indicator, for example, when you need to start casting lava burst so it will land before the flame shock falls off)
- Auto shot timer
- Can track both stacks of Berserking if dual-weilding the enchant
- Bars don't ever move
- Can indicate the *lack* of a buff/debuff (by blinking the bar)
- Has to be set up from scratch; no per-class presets like ClassTimer
- Supports totems, temporary weapon imbues (Flametongue weapon), buffs, debuffs, internal cds, spell/item cds

Apr 30th 2010 12:57PM Especially for feral druid, the feature to set the bars to the same duration really helps to determine what move (or none) to use next. I have it set up that way for all my classes and specs.

Apr 30th 2010 12:53PM Yes, there's even a screenshot on Curse of it being used for Balance. A few other people have had issues with the settings saving, and I have no idea why it would be different for NTK. As far as I know, it was always fixed it by correcting the permissions of the files the the WTF directory.

Apr 30th 2010 12:51PM I don't have an enhancements shaman to test with, but I would think Maelstrom Weapon would just work as a buff on the player, and it will show the number of stacks next to the name like any other buff.

Apr 30th 2010 12:46PM I think the focus thing is caused by "taint" in the menu; bringing up the right click menu on an NTK bar seems to taint the same menu the unit frame uses to set focus. It should only happen if you've configured NTK that run, though, and I've actually never reproduced it.
