Jan 10th 2012 1:43PM I prefer game performance over graphical complexity. Some of the more recent encounters are so visually complex that it actually detracts from the visual appeal (everything is just a blur of graphics so you see nothing) and performance (so much graphics that you lag).
Jan 10th 2011 3:43PM The flawed mechanic with TB is a 40 man zerg is a no-fail strategy regardless of skill. The towers are either ignored (faster loss by attackers) or destroyed (takes longer to lose) unless there is a huge imbalance in player skill, gear, etc.
Make the towers important, force the defenders to split the zerg and play with more strategy. Incorporate the towers to do more than add time, make them strategic. I like the article earlier on this blog where taking towers added time AND made holding only 2 towers = win. that's a lot more balance.
Nov 6th 2010 10:35AM The problem with lower-level ganking is there is little or no consequence. Sure, you can call in others, bring your main, but the original and subsequent attacks on others goes on and on.
One possible solution would be a chance for the corpse to spawn a level 90 NPC. an "guardian spirit" after being killing by a player 10 levels higher. Probably wouldn't stop "bullying" by jerks, but it would give pause to most, and some satisfaction for the loss of time for the player.
Mar 3rd 2010 2:52PM A suggestion for this writer and all other WOW.com writers. Don't assume that the reader knows certain stats while reading and simply omit them. For example, in your article you talk about the soft haste cap... but you never state what it is. You mention hit cap multiple times but never state it. Adding these little details will greatly help new readers without causing too much grief for advanced theorycrafters.
Dec 9th 2009 1:58PM Your guides, specifically Wintergrasp need some updating. For example, your WG guide states that the southern towers servce no purpose other than for honor. In fact now they have a specific purpose and can make or break a battle.
