Sep 7th 2010 4:50PM Yes, you could switch to heals and people will bring you to raids because they need heals. Or you could l2p dps and people will bring you to raids because you're a good dps. Hell, you're even a shammy so you don't have to be that good, people will bring you for hero.
Jul 6th 2010 4:26PM I am having a similar problem, but I actually have a better reason not to leave - lack mandatory attendance. I'm in a casual guild, where all the loot is distributed with rolls and there are no raid attendance requirements. I love this. I love being able to make plans with my RL friends regardless of my raiding schedule, and nobody in the guild will bat an eye at me telling them I can't make the raid that night.
I think I'm pretty hot shit, and my DPS agrees. I have an exceptional understanding of my class, I do my homework, I know how to move out of the fire, I gem my gear properly, I use consumables etc etc. However, none of this is demanded of me. I could do literally 2/3 of my DPS and I'll still get taken to raids. Sometimes I have to sit out a raid that has a bunch of people doing half my DPS because of the guild policy of rotating people. This is fine - non-mandatory attendance goes hand in hand with this.
HERE IS THE POINT OF THIS LONG-WINDED POST: - does a lack of performance demands go hand in hand with non-mandatory attendance? Can I find a guild that will let me bail on raids (not unreasonably often of course, and I always try to give as much advance notice as I can), but still has a high standard of performance for its members?
Jun 2nd 2010 4:10PM Oh, and don't forget that when you are earning seals for the AT weapons, you're MAKING money you could spend on other BoEs.
Jun 2nd 2010 4:09PM Not to be Alliance-centric, the Horde greatsword is here:
Jun 2nd 2010 4:06PM I find the lack of claymore of the prophet distrurbing.
Comparing to the TS Destroyer, the haste and the higher speed are sub-optimal, but as an early gearing tank you're likely to love the extra hit.
Not to mention the claymore is basically free, while the destroyer is going to cost you the better part of 1k, especially if you can't smelt TS yourself and/or are not a BS and have to tip someone to make it. Don't talk about opportunity cost - the AT dailies are a great way to level, so you should have most of the seals for the claymore before you even hit 80. Plus, who doesn't plan to become a Crusader at some point in the future, anyways?
May 17th 2010 2:32PM To all the people saying that shadow word: pain is the worst because it has "pain" in its name,
*cough*curse of AGONY*cough*
Apr 20th 2010 9:50PM I wonder how all the QQers from the Arcane Brillance bout "poor timing" and "it's not April Fools" etc. feel now that they know Archmage Pants had a tragedy in the family and Hobbs was just being a good friend and colleague.
Apr 2nd 2010 4:22PM lalala I'm mister warrior nobody else sacrifices DPS by moving out of the fire lalalala I can't hear you
Apr 2nd 2010 4:11PM And juggling environmental damage to squeeze out more DPS - seriously? This is supposed to be a warrior-specific issue? Have you EVER played a different class? Jesus Christ, no wonder people think warriors are stupid aggro-pulling meatheads.
Apr 2nd 2010 3:49PM Oh no, a priority list instead of a rotation!?!? God forbid we actually have to think a tiny bit and not just memorize 1121121123112112...
Suck it up, plenty of DPS classes have priorities instead of rotations. I wouldn't ever want to play a class with a set rotation anyways.
