The Lawbringer: Kids and Contracts {WoW}

Mar 30th 2010 4:40PM Sounds like Tom here has some kind of issue with his folks. Why does he need LEGAL RIGHTS to a video game account? Why is knowing the password not enough, considering his dad doesn't play anyways? Methinks there is something that Tom is not telling us, like for example he is upset that his daddy is holding his WoW access over his head to ensure little Tommy does well in school.

Breakfast Topic: Disenchanting BoEs in dungeon runs {WoW}

Mar 28th 2010 10:32PM Since I'm a chanter, I always greed on BoEs. After the run, on my own time, I can figure out whether I want to shard it or throw it on the AH, or save it for a future alt.

Russian commercial rips off Lich King trailer {WoW}

Jan 21st 2010 6:15PM I'll just repost my previous comment:

I am from Russia, but I've lived in the U.S. since I was 12, so I can't claim to have any deep understanding of Russian societal norms, either. However, I think it basically goes like this:

Americans are very insecure about their sexuality, so they tend to attribute homosexuality to anything they (we) consider even slightly effeminate (of course, claiming that figure skating is effeminate is ridiculous in the first place, but that's a discussion for another time).

In Russia, and probably most other civilized countries, the only thing that makes you homosexual is having sex with someone of the same gender as you, not figure skating or ballet. Strange how that makes sense, huh?

Jan 13th 2010 4:55PM LOL, go to college, retards. And study real stuff, not social studies. Then you won't need to be explained some of the most basic mechanics of how the world (and not only of Warcraft) works.

The 9 revenues drop by 94% after losing WoW {WoW}

Dec 2nd 2009 3:26PM Ok, so instead of saying "Communism is backwards", we should just say "China is backwards"? I'm fine with that. Fuck China. They are a bunch of insecure, xenophobic, power-hungry, greedy assholes.

Somehow I feel like this will be a little worse received than "Communism is backwards".

Nov 30th 2009 9:31PM Exactly. Revenue != profit.

Breakfast Topic: This is getting a little silly... {WoW}

Nov 19th 2009 4:45PM @Dag

I never really understood why people even bother RPing in a GAME like WoW. Notice I said GAME, not interactive story. The reason why WoW is so fun is because Blizzard always puts gameplay and fun above all else, including lore. If you want to roleplay, go to a chatroom. Roleplaying is about using your imagination, so if you're so imaginative, why do you need polygons to make your fantasies come to life?

OK, so you want a challenge, huh? You like that WoW is not really tailor-made for RPing, and you like figuring out ways to work around it. Well then why not go all-out on challenge? Go roleplay a halfling in eve online or something.

The majority of WoW players love it because Blizzard has gone to great lengths to make the gameplay fun. This is a very difficult to do in an MMO, so this vocal minority of RPers really grinds my gears (har har). They could easily be doing their RPing in a different MMO, but instead they stay and bitch and whine. You know what IS a waste of Blizz' time? You guys and your whining.

By the way, I am not too cool for school when it comes to RPing. I used to be in an RP guild in UO. Now that is a game that makes sense to RP in, because it's a glorified chat client with more cosmetic items than useful ones and atrocious gameplay. It's perfect for you guys.
