Sep 27th 2011 2:57PM Should I feel special for getting an invite to diablo 3 beta?
Jul 12th 2011 10:06PM So what you're saying is to go tree and the only thing you don't have to worry about is dinner?
Jul 4th 2011 8:15PM Corborus and barim. Would love to see the writeups for their fights.
Jun 9th 2011 2:30PM I actually don't think they will put in a legendary for 4.3. Looking at what they did for wrath, no legendary for launch, mace for ulduar, none for toc, and axe for icc. Using the assumption that they are going to provide a tanking legendary and that they are following a similar path from wrath (just doing dungeons on odd patches and raids on even), the next one will be patch 4.6 when we go after deathwing. Probably going to be a piece of the big boy himself.
Jun 6th 2011 9:56AM As the Baron walks in to the roar of the crowd, his eyes scan the arena, expecting a monstrous competition. As his eyes befall the cardboard assassin, he let's out a raspy sigh. "Alex, I'm coming for you instead." He turns away, exiting the arena to begin his hunt. The judges, baffled, declare it a forfeit from the baron.
May 31st 2011 10:10PM Did I read that correctly? No more people needing on b.o.e. and selling the item? At least for randoms! Sneaky blizzard and finally!
Apr 5th 2011 1:31PM Too begin with, for my boss, it would auto enrage if a warlock pulls threat from me. Don't worry, letting the lock die a painful death will dispel the enrage.
Now for the actual fight mechanics. This will be a 4 phase fight. The players enter a room with enough balconies for each player (10 for ten man etc). The first will be the frost phase. An elemental will be out, randomly chasing after members of the raid, launching frostbolts and novas. The main boss will be running from its main threat, launching an array of frost spells. Frost nova will go off when the tank gets too close. Blink will be used immediately afterwards. Cone of cold will be used when nova is on cooldown. Periodically, the boss will teleport to the top of a balcony. From there, 5 frostbolts will be used. Each bolt immediately freezes the target in a tomb of ice. These can be interrupted. But, when all five are launched, he will unleash a blizzard with similar mechanics to certain frost dragons. He'll come down and resume the fight.
Phase 2 is at 75%. Here, the boss will stop running but switches to fire. Periodically, every raid member will get living bomb placed on them. They can dispel some, but not all. Thus spreading out helps alleviate damage. Blast wave, with knock back, will launch melee around and slow them. Dot's will be placed on main target by fireball and pyroblast. Fire blast will be used to spread the dots around, while dragon's breath will be a cone in front (no daze). His balcony phase will be flamestrikes raining down on members. They will need to avoid them and the fire they leave behind.
The third phase is arcane. The main target will be polymorphed every thirty seconds. This will require tank swapping. Otherwise, arcane blasts and explosions will be going off. And people will lose random buffs overtime due to spell steal. The balcony phase will be arcane missiles firing, as well as mana/energy draining where if too much is taken, a mana storm will happen. Also, spells and abilities will have an increase cost. At about 30%, he will go invisible and hide on one of the balconies, eating strudel. He'll do this once per encounter, but can heal fully. Raid members will try to find him and hit him once to break the heal.
At 25%, his health is divided amongst three images, each one a copy of the previous phases. One will be on a balcony at all times. Just need to burn down one at a time.
Mar 31st 2011 8:05PM That's faction number 4. Maybe you should do your math homework first.
Mar 31st 2011 7:12PM You should probably mention out of the dungeon reps, the cenarion expedition has a mount for sale at exalted. As well as an achievement for purchase.
Mar 28th 2011 11:41AM I think it has more to do with the new dk not remembering who they were. So instead of checking credentials, lk decides to just make them as fodder...I mean melee.
