Mar 26th 2010 7:09PM Are you in a raiding guild, (cutaia)? I've never been in one that used masterlooter.
Feb 23rd 2010 3:33PM There are some rare exceptions, like Sarth 3D in the first tier, but aside from that 25-mans ARE harder.
I'm raiding 25-mans with my main, and 10-mans with my alt and 25-mans have been way harder ever since Ulduar. The 10-man altgroup has strictly 10-man + badge gear, and despite that "handicap" we've found 10mans a lot easier.
The difference has steadily grown larger, hc ToC 10 was a joke compared to hc ToC 25, especially Anub. The same trend has continued in ICC, I can't think of a single boss that would have been harder for my alt with strictly 10man gear.
Somehow, I think people claiming 10mans are harder aren't being entirely honest, or they just have very little experience with 25man raids... and no, pugging Naxx doesn't count.
10 mans are nice, but there's no way they should share a raid ID with 25mans. That's just selfish thinking from the strict 10-man guilds.
Feb 19th 2010 10:46PM Yes, lets replace those hacks. Without them doing such a horrible job, this game could be huge! Possibly even the biggest MMO ever.
Feb 4th 2010 9:40PM Big cheer for Paragon, first of all. Go Finland!
However, I have to also think that the first guild to reach LK 25 with someone dpsing with bombs in their raid would have been banned. This time it happened to be Ensidia, and well, they reached (and killed) Arthas first because they're better than the other guilds. Blizzard's fault, without a doubt.
WoW has a looong history of bugging "end bosses", because they are the ones that don't get tested on PTR. Ensidia/Nihilum/SK Gaming/Paragon and other top guilds have been suspected before of dubious methods, and that's because they're the ones that test these bosses first in their buggy states. It's rather sad that Blizzard's failings get end up causing them problems.
And to the clueless person who compared this to what Exodus did: No, this isn't similar in any way. Yogg had been around for ages when they did that, and there's no doubt that every WoW player knows that abusing evade bug is illegal. It's quite different from this case. Yeah, go ahead and think of me as Ensidia fanboy too, but nothing could be farther from the truth.
Feb 4th 2010 9:27PM Why, do you think it would improve his performance?
I don't know if he's actually a WoW fan, but think he did okay at the last BlizzCon.
