Blizzard introduces tradable "Guardian Cub" companion pet, purchasable through the Blizzard Store {WoW}

Oct 10th 2011 1:54PM This is really the slippery slope now, in fact it's worse this is actually being part of the gold market now. It worries me really.

Breakfast Topic: What's your proudest WoW moment? {WoW}

Jan 6th 2011 1:14PM Proud of the achivements I have made, but most of all I'm proud of having become the guy you can ask questions concerning the game. I remember my own starting period and it took me quite a few eeks maybe months to get the grasp of all stuff in game. NOw I am proud that I am a frequently consulted person for lots of stuff be it questing, raiding, macro's, UI stuff you name it. People will ask me many questions because they know I can answer a lot and take time to explain stuff to them.
Best experience has been with LFG, when people would make new characters on my server just to send me a thank you by mail or in person. That is what I am proud of, my ability to help people.

Breakfast Topic: What class would you like to see added to the game? {WoW}

Oct 15th 2010 8:26AM Still think (for 4 years now) that a Bard Class would be awesome. Leather wearing. Not only using their 'Axe' to inflict melee damage, but also playing riffs to buff party members, have mobs bleeding from the ears for dischords, So many cool things I could think off for this class.

Breakfast Topic: A crowning moment of noobishness {WoW}

Sep 13th 2010 4:55AM I started playing late in Vanilla. At the moment TBC was already in testing and I had only heard stuff about it. During my leveling process I traveled from Wetlands to Arathi Highlands and during my travel I saw a strange creature, one I had not seen before. I thought I had stumbled upon the new race that would be released in TBC the Draenei (I had no idea what they would look like except the were kinda big, I read somewhere).
I started telling people in guild about my discovery that apparently there was already one of the new races being tested on live (seemed possible to me at the time). Even had a few guildies come over ASAP who upon arriving told me that I just managed to discover a Tauren....
That was some nice moment, and of course the guildies would remind me of this event continuously for months on end. It was a good laugh and not soon afterwards I would finally learn to recognize the Horde faction characters, just never had come across any before that.

Cataclysm Beta: Old weather flying will cost 250g {WoW}

Sep 10th 2010 8:06AM No problem really. 250g should not be a problem, especially at 80. I mean it's just 15 dailies or so and you got it.... Even at 60 it's not too hard and you should be able to accumulate this quite easy...

Breakfast Topic: The things that keep us playing WoW {WoW}

Aug 17th 2010 6:01AM I play it because it still is fun, although I can totally relate to your friends' comments about it all being about the numbers. I wouldn't mind seeing that a lot of the numbers were hidden, so people would be less forced/compelled to choose a certain spec. I've seen to many affliction locks, frost mages not getting a spot in raids because their spec is subpar on DPS. Imagine you could not see the exact numbers, then there would be less concern about the spec you were playing. No more whining about why you are only(!) doing 6800 dps while you should be able to push 7000 (no kidding I have had that... was in a raid with another mage that did 7k dps and I with 10 more GS 'only' did 6800 and got verbal abuse about it).
Love to see the numbers disappear or make them less accurate. Would make playing a lot more fun since no 'best' spec/gear/enchant etc. can be proven.

Breakfast Topic: Can't we all just get along? {WoW}

Aug 13th 2010 7:34AM Exactly my point. The tournament was an even not unlike the Olympics, all races coming together for an event in order to find the greatest champions of all of Azeroth.
And then of course these champions would be chosen to kill the Lich King.
That would have made perfect sense. And having both factions able to raid together from the beginning of ToC until Cataclysm hits would have been fun. After that the relationship would have turned for the worse with changes in leadership, tension rises and old rivalry started to grow again. Would have been fun to have had six to nine months of faction cooperation that would have been fitting perfectly within the lore and story at that moment.

Breakfast Topic: Can't we all just get along? {WoW}

Aug 12th 2010 9:00AM To be honest, I was expecting faction cooperation a bit during WotLK. The tournament as a setup and then onto ICC in joined factions to beat a shared enemy. Would've been fun to have joint raids imo. Even if it were temporary, it would make sense, Horde and Alliance fighting not only side-by-side but together to defeat Arthas.
Too bad it never happened.

Breakfast Topic: The best class choice for new players {WoW}

Aug 9th 2010 5:07AM I'd say it also kinda depends on the level you play at... but in general I think the easiest to level are:
1 Retri paladin
2 Blood Death Knight (hard to compare since you don't start at lvl 1)
3 Warlock (VW will tank the mobs for you)
4 Hunter (nice having a pet tank your mobs)

Worst is warrior, I would NEVER recommend leveling a warrior to a new player.

Mike Morhaime: Real names will not be required on official Blizzard forums {WoW}

Jul 9th 2010 2:11PM Hmmm well I was kinda open to the idea, at least try it. Maybe have some forums like tech support have the possibility to post anonymous (and have more strict moderation to prevent trolling in there). But have the other forums, especially the ones littered with stupid, abusive, useless comments no longer anonymous. I still think a lot of grievers would have gone then. So then Blizz, what's next then to make the forums more enjoyable? More and stricter moderation please? And while you're at it? HIre a few people to start handing out suspensions or something in /Trade while you're at it...
