WoW Insider Show live today at 3:30pm Eastern {WoW}

Aug 1st 2009 6:09PM With it being weekly and all and only 52 or whatever of those a year that's like another 20 years of podcasts... I don't think wow is going to last that long.

Dwarf levels solely by exploring, gains World Explorer at level 17 {WoW}

Jul 27th 2009 5:57AM Can someone please explain to me how he was even able to get onto the Isle of Quel'danas? I personally had to wait till I hit 70, I think, till I could even fly there. I actually thought that place was only accessible if you hit 70 and that warlock summons could not even help you here, that's why I never attempted this on a lowbie. Guess it's kind of cool though, but you have to have a really really nice lock friend. Personally I think the locks name should have been in the article as well, they definitely deserve some recognition for all the help they definitely put forth.

What do you expect from a WoW movie? {WoW}

Jul 22nd 2009 7:26PM Wow has a long history, lore wise, so depending on where blizzard decides to let whoever is writing this start it off we may not even see drenai and blood elves, well maybe blood elves as high elves or whatever they were before but I'm sure the drenai were more recent. I think the latest expansion would make for a great movie but for some reason I have a feeling that the Alliance will be the default "good" guys because they are more human than anything on the Horde side. What I am hopeful for is that it's just a good storyline, bottom line. I don't care if I don't see any undead rogues, my main, in the movie at all. I know some people will be upset if their class/race isn't in the movie but it's a movie and the best I can hope for is that it's as entertaining as it can be. Also WoW has a lot of potential to be multiple movies so no matter what go and see the movie don't pirate it that way you can help support potential sequels. I personally didn't like the BC expansion but demons and all the technology in netherstorm can make for some pretty kick ass scenes.

Another thing is I'd love it if whoever is going to be choreagraphing the movie actually plays the characters class/race in game. For the sake of not spending a long time leveling up a character maybe just watch pvp/pve videos of some players and have someone there to explain it all. I think it would be cool if when we see any fight scenes in the movie that if it's your class you can recognize the move, I think it will help being the audience into the movie more. Although blizzard has done a great job with combat in the game I do hope it's more extravagant than in game but still recognizable. Just imagine seeing someone use typhoon on a group of enemies near a cliff or a rogue using a killing spree on a building full of guards (think Night Crawler scene from the X-Men movie :D).

More Halloween masks uncovered, mayhem ensues {WoW}

Jul 22nd 2009 1:27AM Well it looks like the masks are just that, masks. It was fun speculating about all the "what ifs" but I for one am hoping for something a little more extravagant from Blizzcon, I'm just bummed it's a month away.

What would be nice, although unlikely, is if blizzard announced two new playable races AND a new class, they have had their hands full with one of those at a time but it'd be cool to be something completely different from what we've ever had to experience.

WoW Insider Show Episode 99: Delete and start again {WoW}

Jul 21st 2009 9:25AM I love this show, wish I could be there when it's live but it's hard to catch for me. On the part where Mike was talking about how blizzard "really" wants to develop for the iPhone market just sounded like fanboy-ism. If I'm not mistaken didn't they just make the the authenticator available for other phones? So why can't the new armory app get some of it's love passed around to some other phones? Maybe it would have to be a smartphone or something with android on it but it'd be nice if they shared it a little.

Plus they were amazed about the calendar thing but that's what you can do with the armory online through your browser anyways so in-game mail probably wouldn't make it to a phone app before it made it to their site. I say keep an eye out on their armory site for features like in game chat and what not and then maybe that will be making it's way onto the app. Mail doesn't make much sense and the auction house seems unfair. I'd never have to go to a city again to post or buy things and since I'm an engineer I'd just open my box wherever I am in game, raid or not, and pick up stuff.

The chat seems possible though, I don't know about other phone companies but you can text people while logged in on t-mobiles website. That came in handy when I lost my phone and I don't see why blizzard couldn't do something like this for wow. Although you couldn't be logged into the actual client while dong this of course.

Breakfast Topic: Would you play a Worgen or a Goblin? {WoW}

Jul 18th 2009 11:44AM @ Kylenne

Seriously? You just bashed on Horde players for blindly picking the "bad ass" races then turn around and do exactly what you say they are doing. I'm sorry but Dwarves are far from bad ass and Gnomes might be cute with pig tails but they aren't very bad ass. Also if you consider overly racist/religious fanatics as a bad as trait I guess the Humans could pass for that. Night elves are cool but they always came off as tree huggers like the Tauren in the lore I've heard about, so blue aliens are the closest thing to bad ass that you've got going for you on the alliance side.

But really, the worgen would be in the same place as the forsaken, what are they gonna bring to the table that the zombies didn't? The alliance is still gonna be hell bent on ridding azeroth of monsters and most likely wouldn't want to to let a bunch of animals join their cause. Just doesn't seem like something they would do.

Breakfast Topic: Would you play a Worgen or a Goblin? {WoW}

Jul 18th 2009 9:47AM I love goblins and would probably delete a lowbie character and reroll it as a goblin. Now there is no reason to faction change to play a worgen, maybe if you wanted an instant 80 worgen but I'd want to play through their starting area and have some fun with their lore. Would suck if the horde didn't get worgen, I mean c'mon the worgen don't fit in with the alliance at all. Although maybe some lore would contest that, although I've never heard much on them.

New Halloween masks point to a new playable race? {WoW}

Jul 17th 2009 4:27PM I'm excited and scared at the same time, on one hand I LOVE goblins and it would be awesome to play as one. But it would seem that the alliance would get the worgen, and goblins are cool and all but who doesn't want to play as a freakin werewolf? If this happens I'm gonna roll a secret alliance toon on another server and not tell any of my friends.
