Ghostcrawler explains spec-specific quest rewards in MoP {WoW}

Mar 30th 2012 7:28AM Some 5 man instances in TBC were definitely harder than karazhan bosses. Murmur comes to mind, as does H Arc. Compared to Maiden or Attunmen, they were definitely harder.

Pandaren shaman totems revealed {WoW}

Mar 29th 2012 9:49AM These do look amazing, but I have a lot of concern that in the absence of buff totems and with totems largely being on 1+ minute CDs, frankly, we won't have them down to see them!

I think there's a glyph to show totems, even when you don't have totems down, but that seems cheesy to me.

Mar 27th 2012 5:46PM Whatever they do, I hope they get it right. Because they won't be materially fixing it for the next 1.5 years or more after.

Officers' Quarters: 6 qualities of a successful raiding guild {WoW}

Mar 26th 2012 2:27PM About a year ago, shortly after we went 10 man - we realized 10 players wasn't going to cut it. In part due to class/spec needs and appropriate tank/healer backups, but also do to wanting to be somewhat flexible for real life and still get thinds done.

We made the decision to run a roster of 11, and actually have recently expanded that to 12. It comes with a lot of sharing, and tiers with few bosses are painful on sharing. Nonetheless, we do it.

In the end it means more consistently raiding 4 days a week, getting bossed down earlier, and more loot for everyone. I can see this being a challenge for some guilds, but since we do clear hardmode content - we have some flexibility that people understand there's a lot of benefits in this model and raiding 5 bosses a week isn't the end of the world.

Have Group, Will Travel replaced with faster flight paths, flask "Chug-A-Lug" perk removed {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2012 4:44PM Well, that's the status quo. They were useful on chimaeron, but I think you could only use one per minute or something. Occasionally some healing gimmick raid boss makes them an option, but they are never mandatory.

Otherwise, PvE content is just too fast paced for bandaging. People expect heals on the run, and if not - they have their own heals.

Totem Talk: Getting resurrected restoration shaman back to speed, and level 90 talents {WoW}

Mar 20th 2012 3:42PM I really like the perma-pet idea as elemental. Frankly, in the absenceof other totems, managing searing totem once a minute is going to feel really dumb. They might as well scrap it and make it a DoT.

3 things that need to change about WoW's auction house {WoW}

Mar 16th 2012 10:12AM Put in swift spectal tigers that you can buy for 300,000 gold. That'll suck some money out of the economy pretty fast.

Mar 13th 2012 2:51PM You know, addons can be turned on/off for specific characters. There's a checkbox on the character selection screen, or in the addons tab on that screen.

Breakfast Topic: What's the least loved class in WoW? {WoW}

Mar 13th 2012 10:22AM Completely agree. I have wanted one for a long time, but I can't get past level 34. When I played it and did level it, it was with Valentine's SP buffs and dotting everyone to death in PvP. After that was over, I tried questing. Major issues were:

1. 2.5s cast shadow bolts.
2. Shadow bolts don't one shot mobs, need to send in voidwalker.
3. Void walker doesn't hold aggro. Mob hits lock.
4. Lock loses health due to squishiness, and also uses too much mana to kill things and then uses health to get mana, and then drinking to get mana.

It was a never ending, exceptionally slow, cycle of drinking. And this was in heirlooms mind you.....
