Jun 7th 2010 5:59PM My purpose for my comment was to point out that there is so much more to the game of WoW than the armor aesthetics and that to tell somebody to find a different game because they dislike that one aspect of the game is stupid.
I doubt very many of the millions of people that play WoW play it instead of some other game because they love the way the armor looks. Graphics don't keep millions of people playing a game for years and years. It's the many other things that are great about WoW that keep us here and it is stupid to tell somebody to 'find another game' because they ask Blizzard to consider giving people other options beyond such ornate and gaudy armor.
Jun 7th 2010 3:46PM "If you're looking for a simpler aesthetic, you're really better off looking at a different game"
Seriously? That's one of the dumbest answers I've seen in the queue.
You think people play this game because of the armor aesthetic? You think people should change to some other game if they don't like the armor aesthetic? I should give up on the excellent game play and the most polished MMO user experience ever because I'd like some simpler looking gear?
Feb 5th 2010 7:23PM "Are you wondering what has caused all the ruckus in the raiding community the past few days? Have you been typing your fingers to the bone since Wednesday night, arguing for one side or the other in forums and chat channels'
Nope. Don't care at all. From what little I read, sounds like the guild is being whiny about the ban. 3 days without WoW? Sheesh. Go get some fresh air.
Jan 13th 2010 11:16AM on my mid-50's shaman I am dual specced for elemental and healing and que for dps or healing. I always get healing of course. But once we were halfway through an instance and I looked at recount and saw that one of our dpsers wasn't doing any damage at all. Then I noticed that this time, I had not been picked as healer, but rather to dps! Doh! Everybody got a laugh out of it though as I asked for a break so I could change specs real quick. :)
Jan 2nd 2010 3:05PM The sprinters are annoying too. GOGOGOGO as soon as you phase into the instance and then no pauses during the entire run.
What's really dumb is when the tanks are like that and don't even wait for the healer to catch up.
Jan 2nd 2010 1:52PM Oooh, oooh, pick me, pick me!
Dec 18th 2009 6:32PM Do you use any sort of threat meters when you are tanking? I'm the MT for a small guild and as a protection specced warrior I'm always looking for tips on maintaining agro on groups of mobs, beyond Thunderclapping and Shockwaving whenever they are off cooldown.
I would think a nice threat meter that had easy visualizations of my threat level on each mob would be awesome. Sort of like the Healbot ui, but instead of party health it would show my threat level on each mob.
Dec 16th 2009 1:15AM Second or third time I'm in one of the new heroic 5 mans, partial random group, and we are getting ready to bypass some trash and one of the pug people says "kill everything for Battered Hilt".
I have no idea what he's talking about but pull the mobs. Battered Hilt drops. I hit greed and so does everybody else but the random guy, who needs and drops out of the party.
What a peckerhead.
Dec 2nd 2009 12:58PM I don't care about the lore at all. I pretty much read quest text just to find out where to go and what to kill. The movie cut scene in Dragonblight is pretty awesome though.
I don't play Draenei, the males anyway, because they seem to move so slow. I know they move at the same speed as other races, but it seems slow, and it annoys the crap out of me.
