Nov 5th 2010 10:40PM The main two attacks where you'll notice a difference are Devastate and Rend. In a Blood and Thunder spec, a slow weapon makes a big difference. Generally, even single tanking, a slower weapon is better. I picked up H Bloodvenom Blade and never looked back after patch.

Jul 21st 2010 11:42AM It really seems like if you want talent points in Fury or Arms, you have to chose between Blood and Thunder and Thunderstruck. If you want all the current Tier 6 talents, you have to put 32 points in Prot, rather than 31. You could practically put the 2 points from Damage Shield into Thunderstruck if you really wanted to, but they do the same thing if you're doing your job.
I don't think Thunderstruck is going to make it, as it really seems you can choose between the DK tanking model and the pally tanking model at this point, which seems goofy. Blood and Thunder is going to be pretty powerful anyway, especially with Improved Rend. I also think Damage Shield is going to get moved down a tier, since we're forced to take 32 points to get it to full power along with mandatory points in Shockwave.
Jun 29th 2010 7:47PM I find it interesting that EVE Online hasn't been brought up, where you can sell game time cards for in-game currency AND use in-game currency to buy game time.
CCP allows this because the game is different and the economics of the game are balanced around PvP, where you can lose lots of ships very quickly.
Blizzard has limited loss in the game, so gold isn't really a necessity to play. There is no in-game reason, besides limited time or laziness, to allow gold to be sold. Plus, as someone stated before, it's much more profitable to keep the current model, as people have to keep playing to make gold, which leads to them renewing their subscriptions :D

Apr 16th 2010 4:46PM For Warriors, Blade Ward actually has pretty good uptime and works well. It sucks for other classes, but warriors benefit from it. Factually though, a raiding tank generally favors Blood Draining. It doesn't hurt to have multiple weapons with several enchants however.

Jan 27th 2010 6:24PM I saw on a WoW-Heroes bulletin on this subject that Gauntlets of the Kraken are losing 15 parry and gaining 250 armor. Correct me if I'm wrong.
If I'm not, I'm probably still going to go with the badge gloves.
Jan 24th 2010 6:25PM While I understand people wanting to get BoT perfectly well, when there's an incentive for raiders who don't need BoT's to skip bosses (i.e. EoF and their time) it's obvious to me that those raiders will take the quickest route, especially when they've probably done those places a lot already.
It isn't necessarily their fault when they have nothing to gain from doing anything in the place BUT the final boss. That's a design flaw. If you had to kill every boss to get the badges, then obviously they would. I know for myself, I only have time to raid and do my daily most days, so I don't like necessarily taking extra time in a heroic if I don't have to. It's not because I think this is "scrubby" or "worthless," but I only have so much time to play, and the way for me to maximize that time is to minimize my time in heroics.
On the same hand, I maximize my enjoyment by getting as many EoF as I can, and the way to do that is a daily heroic. I guess this is mute since I usually have the common decency to ask if people mind skipping a boss or two, or compromising on killing one unnecessary boss instead of a harder/more time consuming one to do.
