Nov 23rd 2010 12:00PM It sounds to me like you weren't doing hard modes. To complain about free gear and lack of content but not do hard modes.... If I weren't doing hard modes I certainly wouldn't be yearning for a return to bc philosophy.
Naxx was an ok instance on reg mode. Problem was that it didn't have hard modes. Toss out some of the heroic settings in there and suddenly it fills the gap to Ulduar MUCH better than it did. It felt to me at the time like ToC came out a little too soon after Ulduar and the gap from ToC to ICC was too long. Basically Ulduar -> ICC was the right time, but they got the intermediate step in the wrong place. ICC was obviously out for too long before Cataclysm. I have to wonder if that was Blizzard realizing they couldn't meet the production cycles they had hoped for long term, or if it was just a matter of the Azeroth revamp being MASSIVE.
Jul 15th 2010 1:21PM Perhaps the cookie cake is the answer to your dilemma. Its called a cake; that can't be denied. At the same time though, it calls to mind a pizza which is distinctly a pie.
I know that the hatred of generations of conflict can't be cured by words, but just eat a cookie cake (pie?). Your life will be enriched by the experience.
Jul 21st 2009 1:42PM A topic for this article that I wuld find interesting would be a generic summation of Azeroth/WoW's history. The interesting part would be highlighting how this history has evolved to fit the plot of different expansions and how different itterations seem to be inconsistent at very basic levels.
Jul 21st 2009 1:31PM Jason, the old gods did not corrupt Sargeras (at least there is no indication of it). Sargeras was corrupted by millenia of witnessing the cruelties of the demons he was in charge of combatting across the WoW universe.
Jul 21st 2009 1:27PM Sargeras used to be affiliated with the rest of the pantheon of Titans. When they came to Azeroth (the first or possibly second time depending on which inconsistent retconning you listen to), they did battle with Ragnaros, Neptulon, and the other elemental lieutenants of the old gods before proceeding to battle the old gods themselves.
Sargeras is not the head/founder of the Burning Legion and has no connection to the old gods beyond that conflict.
Jul 21st 2009 1:22PM Not happening. Visual recognition of friend/foe is important to Blizzard for pvp. Allowing one race to choose a faction undermines that principle. Unlike allowing faction (simultaneous race) transfers, this would actively affect in game encounters and give Pandaren a significant advantage.
Jul 21st 2009 1:06PM Everytime I see homophobia used in this context it really torches my buns. How has a word that by its very make up refers to fear come to designate any behavior or attitude with a negative outlook on homosexuality.
One can accept someone as a decent human being even if they passionately disagree with a lifestyle decision. Does that disagreement make them afraid of homosexuals? The use of the word "homophobia" just undermines any legitimate reasoning on that person's part.
