Mar 18th 2012 5:50PM Well CD Projekt. Congratulations, you're now my new favourite developer.

Mar 18th 2012 5:46PM Well would you look at that. Another director who can't listen to save their lives.

Mar 18th 2012 5:46PM @Raffi256: How are we in a "biased" group? Biased means that we have a strong prejudice for or against something, though many of the people who dislike the ME3 ending were extremely large fans of the Mass Effect series.

Being a "hardcore" gamer as you put it doesn't invalidate our points. It doesn't make us apart of some "special group" that also gives "biased" opinions on the games we play. In your definition, all it means is that we can play the game for 4+ hours a day and therefore beat the game fairly quickly. So what?

How does that make any of my points "biased" or less valid than yours in any other magical way?

Zarhym weighs in on Theramore rumors in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Oct 24th 2011 5:40PM There are two issues I have with what you're saying.

The first is that you're implying the Alliance got complacent. Complacency washed over them due to their original victories of the original orcish Horde. But your words only include the Alliance, whereas the Horde has just as much chance of becoming complacent when Thrall started his peace treaties way back during Warcraft 3, noting that many of these offers of peace were forgone with much thought by the Alliance but also with must defensive suspicion (which would argue your theory of complacency).

The second problem is that you imply that the other faction leaders have issue with Thrall's idea of a peaceful resolution between the two factions conflict, though some of the faction leaders do not openly state their disposition towards conflict with the Alliance.

Vol'jin wouldn't have opposed the decision because he trusts Thrall and believes in his vision, he would find it dishonorable to go against him (and he expresses them towards Garrosh). The Blood Elf faction leader (whose name eludes me) and Sylvanus have always thought of the Horde as tools and, quite frankly, both factions would probably turn on both the Horde and the Alliance give half the chance (Sylvanus already showing this): Their loyalties lie with themselves, not their supposed "allies".

Naturally, the goblins and worgen have nothing to do with any peaceful resolution since those were long gone when they made their inception.

Oct 24th 2011 5:32PM The obvious biased attitude towards the Horde is one of the many reasons I stopped playing WoW but it never destroyed the reason I love the Alliance; sorry Horde, you ain't got dwarves, awesome beards or even great booze to compensate, therefore you suck in my eyes.

Regardless of this, I find it fruitless to argue over what side gets more developer love, because Blizzard has and will always try to reinforce the seemingly untrue "fact" that they don't love one faction more than the other.

You'll also get the raging fanboy's who will say that their side isn't loved as much or that the other side is just whining to get attention.

You'll never get a true, unbiased answer, so why keep arguing?

Bethesda: Nobody enjoys being 'forced' to sue Mojang {Joystiq}

Oct 9th 2011 6:33PM Either the USPTO are incredibly unprofessional in their actions, or the trademark is false.

Their databases don't list the term "Scrolls" as a trademark licensed by ZeniMax. The listings they do have for the term "Scrolls" is for t-shirts by one company and a video game by another (Mojang).

ZeniMax may indeed own a trademark for "Scrolls" but that's not my point. My point is that USPTO should be updating all their databases. Online and offline. Especially in a day-and-age that utilises the internet storage more than desk storage.
