Aug 14th 2010 6:57PM Agreed, I absolutely hate the change. Relics/etc that used to have an interesting effect being replaced just by stat items is completely boring.
I recently met a PvE resto shaman with a druid spirit staff, gemmed for spirit, hit and spell penetration. When I told him just how useless spirit was for him he replied: "Spirit is good for a shaman if you don't cast for 5 seconds".
I know blizzard is trying to make a dumbed down game even more accessible for guys like the formentioned shaman. And I hate it.
Aug 1st 2010 9:07PM 1st: Both desperate prayer and binding heal have a huge PvP aspect.
2nd: It doesn't have to be the healer's fault for him to take damage. It might be the tank's the dps's or even due to the nature of the event. Actually if a healer takes damage these days and it isn't due to some raidwide aoe/etc it is SOMEONE ELSE'S fault.
3rd: Your comment really has nothing to do with the subject.
Aug 1st 2010 8:59PM While it's a great feature, i'm slightly frightened of this spell's power in the hands of an ill-intended priest. We do meet a lot of people in lfg and, like some enjoy kicking with no real reason/slacking, some might find it funny to grip the tank back with some cleave mob following him.
Jul 30th 2010 10:12AM Iangiszero is gonna get ranked down so bad even though he's RIGHT. There are only two competitive elements in the game at this moment that require you to go in depth with the gameplay: High-end arenas and Boss kills within the first few weeks of the raid dungeon's release.
And the story turned from great in WC3 to horrible in WoW WotLK. Huge lore gaps and events that want to be serious, turn out silly. (Ex: Tirion's gambit, Guru of Drakuru, The Reckoning Bomb @ the scourge invasion) Continuous examples of Deus ex Machina over and over again. A situation is too tough? np, shrink him to the size of an ant/call forth the aid of some npc that will solo the mob for you/use that monster's one weakness against it/etc/etc/etc.
Not to mention the argents have a DAMN CANNON that shoots for 1 bilion damage, but they don't seem to want to use it for anything else except that one time in the vanguard.
@itshebrent - Arthas a threat? He falls for EVERY trick in the goddamn book.
Jul 30th 2010 9:56AM Unfortunately, Joakim is right, WoW is a business.
However if you take a look at the games of the past, you kinda get the feeling that even though the sfx and visual quality of modern games have improved, overall, most of them lack the quality of their predecesors.
I can't blame ActiBlizz for making more money out of their product, but i can't compliment them either on dumbing down the game, having huge lore gaps and taking the class gameplay more and more out of the game. (Ex: I just finished FoS with a guy that was playing on his friend's char as tank for the first time in his life after I only gave him a few pointers on what abilities to use.)
The only thing that I dislike about Farmbill is its infulence on WoW's development.
Jul 21st 2010 9:01AM Agree with Rai and Sleutel.
I played warrior in TBC. It was really fun cus you had to watch a lot of things at the same time. It wasn't really hard, but skill made a lot of difference between bad and good warriors.
Right now, warriors are faceroll to play as prot. And they're making it even easier to play in cata.
What's the point?
Jul 7th 2010 9:53PM I'm with you Hogger. When the news broke out i canceled my subscription.
Now I just read what the guys from Team Liquid dug up. I'm not only quitting, i'm going to convince all my friends to quit.
That's at least 7 accounts on my side.
Jul 7th 2010 9:07PM The guys at Team Liquid did a great job in providing this info for us:
So it was the slippery slope after all.
With the pets, the horse, etc they were doing free surveys on their playerbase.
Actually they even made money making surveys. Robert A. Kotick is a selfish, greedy, manipulative, if intelligent bastard in charge of a large company. A dangerous combo.
Jul 7th 2010 11:06AM You're still not getting that it's not about trolls at all?
