Breakfast Topic: Do you collect non-combat armor? {WoW}

Dec 3rd 2010 2:36PM Yes! I do, I do, I do! On my priest I have all the tier sets, even the elusive tier 3. On my paladin I use the old level 60 pvp set - blood knight attire. I also buy a lot of nice looking greens for other chars: the glorious, vanguard, lofty, tyrant, saltstone sets, elegant robes, sorecerer drape, you name it. Makes the game a lot more fun. I also collect fun-effect trinkets which provide no real combat benefit.

And yes, I wish I had a lot more bank slots. The current situation requires me to mail everything that's not soulbound to a banker alt. I don't even carry my fishing hat with me anymore due to lack of inventory room. A collector's life are hard.

Drama Mamas: Breakup drama {WoW}

Nov 28th 2010 7:38AM All those comments ordering BrokenUp to "simply get over it" or "use common sense" simply prove a lack of understanding and empathy.

When I was 18 I heard PJ Harvey's "Rid of Me" for the first time. It was earth-shattering, to say the least. A few months ago I read in Wikipedia that some journalist asked her to explain the song, saying it sounds "psychotic". I thought, how dare he judge. How dare he say that.

For me, breakups are rough. All of them. Excruciating. I cannot even absorb the concept of "get over it" in a snap. I told my friend that it's the second worst feeling in the world after having someone you love die. And he said, "yes, except in breakups, the person who dies is yourself".

I envy all of you who can end relationships without slip-sliding away, but me and BrokenUp and PJ and a lot of other women cannot. Don't judge us for it.

Blood Sport: Cataclysm PvP is theoretically awesome {WoW}

Nov 17th 2010 7:32AM Jose Gonzalez is wonderful. I loved his word with Zero 7.

15 Minutes of Fame: A rare and beautiful collection {WoW}

Oct 21st 2010 5:56PM Thank you for taking the time and preparing this beautiful gallery! You're clearly so very creative and talented. Would be cool if you start a blog and upload all those photos with working links to the items you used. Amazing collection, keep up the good work!

Officers' Quarters: Raiding addons aren't optional {WoW}

Oct 19th 2010 8:22AM You're 100% right about Pallypower not being optional. In fact, if your raid has 5 paladins and only one doesn't have it, it'll piss the other 4. The one without PP will overwrite their buffs and auras all the time.

Oct 11th 2010 1:14AM Amazing post, amazing gallery. The screenshots made me giggle. You win the internet.

All the World's a Stage: Cheating and the IC versus OOC divide {WoW}

Oct 8th 2010 2:10PM Right. Here's a very simple solution: whisper the person you're about to cheat and ask, "is this ok with you if my char cheats?" Yes, it'll still hurt if said spouse doesn't have sturdy walls between himself and his char, and it'll feed him with some meta-gaming information, but that beats the alternative of having the cheated spouse catch your char in bed with the mistress. If this cheating plotline appears too hurtful, you might want to have to do the talk and break it up ICly before 'plowing new fields'.

I've been there two weeks ago, and yes, it did shatter our entire RP group. You won't believe the amount of wasted tears I recently shed over this, even though I'm fully aware this isn't real and isn't personal. I used to have an ex boyfriend IRL who texted his other woman while in bed with me. My RP partner brought back quite a few bad memories from him and caused me a lot of emotional distress.

In conclusion, better be frank about it up-front OOC than hide it and then go "it's not me, it's my char!" when caught. Remember that WoW is a zero-privacy environment and it's impossible to keep secrets for a long period.

The OverAchiever: Reputation factions in Cataclysm {WoW}

Oct 8th 2010 5:18AM Phasing in Kezan and Gilneas is a bad, bad choice. Roleplayers tend to gather in low-level zones and require places which are both accessible to low-level players and themed for their race. Most people are bored with hanging out in Stormwind and Silvermoon all the time, we need new RP hubs.

WoW Rookie: How to choose a new realm {WoW}

Sep 19th 2010 9:13AM True. Don't ask trade or LFRP or any public channel with 4chan mentallity. And don't ever set foot in a low population server, it'll be very frustrating when there are not enough people to complete a pug or when you cannot find goods you require on the AH.

Breakfast Topic: Why don't you RP? {WoW}

Jul 20th 2010 5:15PM My experience proves RPers tend to be a lot more elitist than the most hardcore raider. If people spent half the time they spent mocking in actual RP, our server would actually have a vivid RP community. So stop wasting your time on mocking people who play belves, death knights, worgen or whatever. Just RP with who you see right and disregard the rest.
