Jul 25th 2009 9:26PM The two things the "new professions" -- jewelcrafting and inscription -- have in common is that they apply to all classes because they deal mostly with enhancements that every class can use.
That seems like the big strike against woodworking -- it seems more like the missing caster profession and doesn't seem to lend itself to enhancements.
I think someone else mentioned some sort of rune-based crafting system, that seems more likely. And of course they could just revamp the existing professions instead, I'd prefer that to a new profession that will (like jewelcrafting and inscription) just end up being another "gate" you need to get past if you want to succeed in the end game.
