Oct 3rd 2009 6:53PM There's already a means of checking a name without creating a character - friending one. If the name is already used, it will do one of two things: add the friend to your list, or tell you 'Friend must be a part of your alliance.' If the name isn't used, you will get a 'Character not found.'
Jul 29th 2009 2:08PM I have both of those on my rogue.
And I raid with her.
Jul 27th 2009 4:21PM "For example: VoA PUGs. I don't raid much (and never got a drop yet when I did, lol) and still need my T7 Chest (got the gloves from emblems). Once Emalon was added to VoA, it's impossible to get a PUG (on my server) to down Archavon. Why? Because they don't want to "give up" their chance to down Emalon for the week."
And this is why I have yet to, nor may I ever, see an Emalon kill. Last time I was in there the raid was called despite poor old Archavon not even being touched yet. What, is he not good enough for us or something?
Jul 27th 2009 11:34AM Don't you know? Ten-man raids don't count. They're raiding lite, for the folks who aren't good enough to get into the REAL raid scene.
I don't like that kind of attitude toward raiding, either, especially since I've only just started it myself for the first time since the game's opening. If you're in a raiding guild and you can't get into the 25-man, go for the ten. It may not be as 'prestigious', but you'll still get stuff (even if it isn't quite as good) and practice.
