Dec 25th 2010 10:19AM They're up now, but given that the alliance had them while the horde didn't - at least on most servers - I think a bug was more likely. Perhaps it was because the tree had been moved in Orgrimmar...? I don't play much alliance, but I don't believe the IF tree was moved. When doing the WV quests on a new alt this year, I noticed that sometimes the quest turn-in would show up on my mini-map in their old location (for both Great Father Winter and the Smokeywood Pastures folks)... I wonder if that had anything to do with it?
Dec 25th 2010 8:49AM Well, I WAS excited to open winter veil presents since my family is not yet awake, but there are none on horde side on many servers or perhaps every server.
Dec 23rd 2010 12:18AM THANK YOU for this article. So many stories to tell. The tanks that tell me to throw down my frost trap and then pull the whole group before I can do that (The TRAP pulls, FYI). The tank that goes on and on about making sure that I'm a competent enough hunter to CC (yes, thanks) and then hits the trapped mob with the edge of his consecrate. The constant wipes on the first boss on heroic SFK because the stupid mage couldn't listen to the tank say that THEY would take responsibility for interrupting Stay of Execution at the appropriate time, the MAGE should watch for Mend Rotting Flesh... and for the next 4 pulls, the mage interrupts Stay, the tank blows his interrupt because he was supposed to, and then a full heal gets off because no one had an interrupt for Mend when it popped. We carefully explain the instructions to the mage and they DO IT AGAIN. And again. And again.
Now, I'm not doing everything perfectly either... but the idiots are out in the pugs, that is for certain. And I'll say this, too - I LEARNED TO ENDGAME in Wrath and you don't see ME doing this. I don't know why the transition is so hard.
Thank you for letting me QQ.
Dec 16th 2010 3:55PM Lots of dumb tanks out there who don't even realize that CC exists or that you need it on heroic. The other problem is when tanks mark and then don't respect the markings themselves. Or when they
Lots of bad tanks in heroics right now; no respect for strategy or anything. I learned endgame via Wrath, I know I was late to the party, yet even then I know better than to charge in without a care. Lots of tanks don't have any consideration for it. Newflash: This is harder than the old stuff. A bad pull won't be overcome unless you're a great group and even then it's tough to do. Stop making bad pulls.
Dec 15th 2010 11:59AM Worse than people not using CC are the tanks who don't have the consideration for it. Many is the time that I carefully set a trap using launcher or sting something and the tank goes RAWR MASS AOE PULL, breaks all the CC, and wonders why we wipe on trash mobs. I've had to take charge of marking in many runs because the tanks are stuck in Wrath mode. A lot us are completely unfamiliar with instances right now - and they're new, that's as it should be - but new doesn't mean charge in like a crazy person, it means think.
Dec 14th 2010 8:24AM For those who have played the franchise for a while, Deathwing has been a part of the story in one form or another since WC2... a recognizable name to be sure, event to me, who skipped out on WC3. As is Cho'Gall. Certainly Deathwing has been around causing problems since before Arthas - and I don't mean in out-of-game lore, I mean in Warcraft games.

Dec 6th 2010 10:08AM I've been looking on WoW-Petopia and noticed that the blighthounds are listed under the "dog" family. Does this mean if I currently had a Blighthound he will no longer give the same buff... as he is now a dog?
Dec 6th 2010 8:36AM I really WANTED to like the Elemental event more than I did... but meh. I did all the quests, tried to get excited, but there was just too much suspension of disbelief for this one. Twilight cultists are suddenly everywhere setting up altars outside of Orgrimmar?
I guess the other point is that when a zombie event is more believable than this one... well...
