The Guild ends the year with DVD release and new comic {WoW}

Dec 27th 2010 4:52PM Awesome.

I don't do Microsoft, aka Zune or Xbox but I do enjoy the Guild series so I wait for it to come out on media I can view. Amazon is great since I can get a digital copy and watch it on my Roku the same day as well as have a permanent copy. Itunes has too many ways to FU so I don't buy there. Netflix would be cool.

Looking forward to watching your latest stab fest at our quirky clique.

Blizzard to patrol Moon Guard's Goldshire for harassment, erotic role playing {WoW}

Aug 4th 2010 4:48PM Why does this reminds me of the Iran's Basij Force?

Blood Sport: Arena and the (old) Elo ranking system {WoW}

Jun 7th 2010 4:23PM The only consequence you had teaming with your Arena newb buddy is that you actually helped him. There was no adverse consequence to your other than your MMR got tanked a little which you can quickly gain back once you form a competitive team.

Blizzard current rating system is near perfect.

Too bad u wont be able to use it when cata releases.

Blood Sport: Arena and the (old) Elo ranking system {WoW}

Jun 7th 2010 2:17PM "One of the reasons players decided to no longer participate in rated arenas was the change in the arena rating system."

I hated the old ELO system.

A more pertinent reason why I didn't play Arena season 5 was how Broken Palys and DKs were making Arena extremely unbalanced. I came back in season 6 and really like the changes to the rating system.

There were several problems with the old ELO system the main issue being that your ELO rating did not stay with you when you changed teams. A new entrant to Arena was frequently matched up (about 1/3 the time) against a fully decked out 2200 rated player now playing with his fresh rating of 1500.

The old system encouraged elite players to game the system and sell their leveling services to the highest bidder. All the new system does is encourages players to buy teams already at a 1000 rating.

Encrypted Text: Add the finishing touches to your rogue {WoW}

May 13th 2010 2:17PM Goals upgraded.

My goals before Cata are:
1. Obtain Revered with the Ashen Verdict for the leather crafting patterns and the ring upgrade.
2. Make lots of gold to buy the mats.
3. Get the two piece T10 PVE bonus

Encrypted Text: Add the finishing touches to your rogue {WoW}

May 12th 2010 7:03PM I was just reviewing my character last night think the same thing. It occurred to me that since I'm am maxed on PVP gear I might take a look at how close I was to obtaining better PVE gear.

My goals before Cata are:
1. Obtain Honored with the Ashen Verdict for the leather crafting patterns and the ring upgrade
2. Get the two piece T10 PVE bonus

Other than that I don't really have any goals other than to keep PVPing.

What am I most looking forward to in Cata? PVP progression through PVP including weapons and Tol Barad.

WoW, Casually: Playing with your reading-age child {WoW}

Jul 29th 2009 4:42PM Your comment is simply inflamatory.

I have NEVER seen NAMBLA chat in the 150 days I have been in game and if I did I would instantly report it to have them banned.

WoW, Casually: Playing with your reading-age child {WoW}

Jul 29th 2009 4:25PM How brave of you to even comment about preschoolers playing WoW. I'm certain there is a class of people out there who would consider allowing children to play video games as child abuse. I detest them.

I do allow my 30 month old son to sit on my lap while we play wow. I had a char I seldom played and he really liked her so we log on and I allow him to direct her activities.

Hes been slow to learn to read letters and count, but once we started playing wow together he was motivated to learn what numbers look like and also the letters on the key board.

Playing wow for a preschooler has the potential to teach many things. How to function on a computer at an early age is invaluable. How to interact in a computerized environment will prove to be highly beneficial later in life. (Facebook anyone). Learning how a computer functions, how to use the keyboard and mouse.

And on top of that we do sit for about an hour together before bed time playing as a family. My wife plays too.

I do draw the line at playing first thing in the morning however.
